[glow=purple,2,300]...at midnight, on the 12th of August, a huge mass of disgruntled fans still awaited the release. Only 2 miles from where Gray types, invisibly hurtling towards upload, came the next of the promises that would bring so much calamity to the fans. As we watched, there was another website update - it was another rumour, starting on its way..
"The chances of Tim Hines releasing this film, are a million to one" they said "The chances of Tim Hines releasing this film, are a million to one" - but here it comes![/glow]

The pic of the tripods was taken just after they were told there was going to be a new update. They collapsed on the floor laughing. Next you'll be telling us we look like chickens and Big Ben is made out of clay......

[glow=purple,2,300]Perhaps they're like cats, and having a bit of a roll about in the sun. Look, the Narrators just finished scratching it's leg, and is going in for the 'tummy-rub'!
"Who's an ickle tripod den? You are. Yes you are!"
Purrrrrrrrrrr![/glow]

We're just passing the time waiting for the trailer.... I'm also going to sue HTT for making me choke on my apple while reading his posts. :-)

Jeez guys, it's like listening to children in a playground! I'm reserving judgement on the film for when I've actually watched the whole thing. If at that time I decide that you bunch o' peeps were right then by all means, come round and kick me in the plums... Until then... Thing is though, you enjoy being kicked in the plums. Nearly as much as I enjoy the fridge door...

[glow=purple,2,300] Good job it was an apple - I'd hate to be sued for causing someone to choke on their banana... or their plums... [/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]'snot one of my talents, but there's these Contortionist chappies who appear on shows of the David Copperfield ilk. They tend to be very flexible and can bend right over without the aid of mirrors.
Now. mirrortal aids are quite popular (above the old four poster), but exactly why people would want to join Billy Smarts Circus and show the world the can stick their head up their own @rse is beyond me!
Then again, how many people have watched the Paul Daniels show and thought "I wonder if they have sex like that?", and after Debbie McGee & Paul Daniels have left the stage*, and the contortionist come on and bends over backwards thought...[/glow]
* poor, poor humour!

I'd rather not think of Paul Daniels having sex. I usually wonder "How the hell can she have sex with him?" You'll like this trailer - not alot Yes Paul

[glow=purple,2,300]Moving on from Paul Daniels (uuuurrrggh!), I have some seious comment on the new Pendragon picture.
Firstly - the tripod in the background. Now, does that look dropped down dead - or exploded? To me, that looks like one of the tripods that we took out.
Moving on the the Tripod in the foreground. I think this is NOT the same as in the CFQ pictures. Similar, yes - but much has changed.
Firstly, the 'hood'. We're looking at it from behind left. Firstly, the 'shower head' is missing*. then, the shape is different. In the new photo, the hood flows around the body - it's more square in the CFQ shot. In the CFW shot, under the two proboscis, is a sort of smooth bowl with a hole underneath - not there in the photo. The 'guns' for the (black smoke cannisters?) are more smooth and integrated better than the CFQ ones. Then there's the 'balls' underneath a-la the HM - nothing like this is in the CFQ shot (although it could be the angle.)
I think the CFQ design has been improved on - what does anyone else think?[/glow]
*Missing heat ray - is it possible that, as (in the CFQ pics) they have only 4 tentacles, when they are not a-wielding of it, it's stored in the little holder on the hood? Kind of like a holster, but on top of the head...?

[glow=purple,2,300]The SFF is running from 19th May to 12th June. It's an international film festival, and the films are selected by some panel.
I've checked the list of directors, and Hines isn't on it. Apart from "Spawned in Seattle" there isn't really a category for WOTW. Either the organisers didn't select it, or (more likely) Pendragon are still applying the final FX to the movie. Remember, Return of the King* only finished the theatrical release on the day it needed printing for distribution - in fact, it only just made the deadline. Tim's probably still tinkering. [/glow]
*Yes, ROTK had a LOT more FX - but this is Pendragon we're talking about here! Finishing on time isn't exactly their forte!

Going back to an old topic. [/quote] I have just looked at the copy of the CFQ magazine with this image in. The magazine image is 20 X better in clarity and you can finally make out whats going on with this image. Its not a capture or still from the film, its a complete mock up (note I said mock up). The machine in the forground (left) is one of the FX models while the machine at the back along with the back drop is - well its a back drop, a picture and not a good one at that. The buildings, machine and Big Ben have not fine detail to them. In short its just been made for publicity use.

No one would have beleived, in the last hours of June 3rd, that the stuffo website was being watched by the timeless worlds of the WOTW forums. Few men even considered the possibilty of an update, and yet across the gulfs of the internet, minds immeasurably similar to ours regarded the forums with envious eyes...and laughed their heads off cos there won't be no damn trailer! Thanks, Balrog, that was hilarious - I sometimes wish we could just rate each other's comments for sheer 'snarf' value. I've read some hilarious things here, and always wish I could note my pleasure without necessarily cluttering up the board with yet another posting....
