I'm glad to see this! My friends and I were beginning to seriously question whether this thing was even coming out on DVD this year. Of course, being listed on Amazon doesn't necessarily mean it will be released on the date given-- things sometimes get delayed-- but it does lay to rest the claim made on this forum that Pendragon doesn't really have a contract with UAV, the DVD distributor.

I think it's a bit early. It's not showing up at www.dvdpricesearch.com. Amazon.com tends to list things earlier than it ought to, when they're still iffy. But I'm glad to see a "real" price at last; that other website offering pre-orders had a "NFP" (Not Final Price) indicator. Besides, you can usually get a better price from www.deepdiscountdvd.com.

June 14th is not that far away, Amazon have very little details posted up there is NO picture, nothing showing a cover or even a standard image. So Pendragons press department (some old biddie behind a telephone) have not even bothered to include it with the little information they gave out, odd considering this is there only outlet for selling the DVD - online (so far). The DVD release info is not even on there own site and I would have thought that is more important.
Though this is upon a few sites, Im still taking this info with a pinch of salt.
How many WOTW sites are out there on the web?, how many sites have Pendragon been in contact with?. if this info has any 100% solid truth to it, WOTWOnline along with the other sites PP have been in contact with would have told us a long time ago.
quote - but it does lay to rest the claim made on this forum that Pendragon doesn't really have a contract with UAV, the DVD distributor - unquote
All because its up on one site doesn't mean a thing. Pendragon tell people the things they want to hear.

I certainly won't waste my time preordering. I will wait until other people have this DVD in their actual sticky mitts and can vouch that it is actually a real product. I figure that I have waited this long, so it certainly won't cause me any further distress to wait a little more.

Well i personally didn't think this film would ever see the light of day, looks like it will never make it to the big screen but at least we can be happy with a dvd release. question is will it be available for region 2 - uk?? hope so

So it will be a case of ordering it from over sea's. But I am pretty sure that many retailors who deal with imported DVDs will be able to get there hands on it - if it's released.

Its a shame that it's not coming over here, cause that would have meant possibly my local video store getting it in - and I could have seen if it was worth it. I'm still dubious.

Anyhoo, if/when it becomes available, I'm gonna order it anyway. After all this initial excitement, anticipations, debating, dissapointments and waiting, I still want to see what it is all about. It is -after all- still a chapter (allthough a weird one) of the overall WotW experience.

Amazon has a reputation for listing DVD s available to order a long time before they are actually ready to go. I am going to wait for some kind of offcial announcement either from Pendragon or--a lot more reliably..the DVD company before I order. But still, it is sad that what was billed as a state of the art sci fi epic is now reduced to a bargain bin DVD release....

I'm gonna wait until the DVD is readily available on Amazon, just as with the 3 books from Retrovision. I'm gonna wait until they are actually comfirmed to be published.

If it is coming out as a 15 bucks....which means ten bucks if you look around....Straight to DVD DVD, I think you can kiss the 3 Books goodbye. This is a cheap, straight to DVD in hopes of making a quick buck from all the pub surrounding the Speilberg film product. It might not have started out that way in Hines' minds, but that is what it has become. I really doubt a project like that is going to have a book published about it. BTW The DVD appears to be..if Amazon is accurate and that is a huge if....bare bones. No commentary, no Documentary, nothing. At least the Asylum version, though it is also a quickie effort, has a few extras.
