It seems that some posters, in the past, have been knocked by Pendragon supporters. Some of those posters don't bother posting anymore because they simply believed, from the evidence presented, that they were telling the truth. One particular post suggested that supporters who do feel betrayed or let down ( words to that effect ) should seek counselling. What an insult! Why I support Pendragon is a locked thread on this board. There are certain 'supporters' who have egg all over their face, so to speak. Do let us all know what 'humble pie' tastes like. Sometimes the truth stares us in the face but even then certain individuals refuse to accept it despite the alarm bells ringing. I suggest those individuals seek counselling or similar. Parson, welcome to the site That is not really a ideal starting post as many could take the comments you make the wrong way. However you do seem to know a lot of history regarding Pendragon and what has been said on this site for someone who has recently registered. I take it you have been here before?. Now, as we are not going to cover old grounds again, I suggest that we move on like the respectable adults we are.

I find it ironic that this England-set, supposedly true-to-the-English author's-original-vision adaptation will not be available in England, the one country where it would be most appreciated. Kinda pulls the moral high ground out from under the film's makers actually.

Blame Frank Wells and Paramount Pictures...in that order.

It's just different horses for different courses. Yes I've had my rants and raves purely through a sense of disappointment. Now the dust is settling, I agree that, until some rock solid news appears, for now we should just put the whole thing to bed.

Not sure if i've made a serious judgement error, but i ordered a DVD from Amazon yesterday. I pretty much doubt the June 14th release date is gonna happen though

[glow=purple,2,300]It's not a judgement error - the date may be put back, but at least you will eventually get the DVD. You won't be charged until dispatch, so you aren't losing anything - just planning ahead!
Better place my order soon actually. [/glow]

I ordered the damn thing on Amazon, but I admit if Amazon did not have a money back guarantee and you will not be charged until it is in stock policy I would not have ordered. Not that 12.50 is a big deal to me but I don't want to get in the habit of being careless with my money.

I'm not going to order anything until I see solid proof that this film even exists. I still think it will be a massive disappointment if Wells story isn't done full justice and released onto the big screen though. And if it is straight to dvd then we've all been misled - big time!

Every piece of evidence we have is that it is going to be straight to DVD.

[glow=purple,2,300]"Pretty fly (for a white guy)" just popped into my head for no reason, but it sparked off one of my ludicrous WOTW relyricing:[/glow] Give it to me Timmy, (Ulla Ulla) Give it to me Timmy, (Ulla Ulla) And all the posts say it's pretty dire for this picture May…May…May…April…April…DVD You know its kinda hard just to make a film today Tim Hines may not be cool, but he thinks it anyway He may not have a clue, and he may not have style But everything he lacks, well he makes up in denial [Chorus] So don't deflate, tell it straight You know he won't release it anyday Keep it real, is there a reel? For you no film, there's just no film And Timothy, just over compensates At least you can always buy the DVD The world needs War of the Worlds Hey, Hey, screen the b*st*rd thing! Give it to me Timmy, (Ulla Ulla) And all the posts say it's pretty dire for this picture He needs some cool FX, but he doesn't have the knack But he couldn't get WETA so he bought an Apple Mac Now Cruise had joined with Spielberg, Asylum's joined the act But if he ships out, they're gonna sue his lilly ass! [Chorus] Now he wanted it worldwide yeah, he wanted it shown, He asked for distribution, but he ended up with none He's not trying to hard, he needs a good kick But in his own mind, yeah, it's the greatest flick Give it to me Timmy, (Ulla Ulla) And all the posts say it's pretty dire for this picture May…May…May…April…April… DVD [Chorus] [glow=purple,2,300]BTW: I think I'll take the plunge and pre-order the DVD tonight...[/glow]

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, or as to whether anyone knows... but is there a release date for a UK Release. I mean, I love war of the worlds, but im not importing this from the states... I would like to see it, but im not going through all that hassle of importing, only to find out it really is a pile of tripe. call me cynical, but you know...

OK Lensman. Here's what I did with a time limit of 2 hours and bits and pieces nicked off the web. You clearly have some artistic skill; the bottom part looks quite nice. But overall it's unbalanced and lacking in strong elements; the fire draws the eye away from the title; and the "earth" part of the two worlds is too low a contrast to be clearly discernable. In short, you seem to have confused "pretty" with "effective advertising".

Im not going to slate Pendragon, Ive done enough of that in other post.
But simply, no matter how pretty or uneffective that DVD Cover might be, its still better than Pendragons. And if effective advertising is what matters, Pendragon fell short months ago.
I hold out hope for this film, and, if the DVD is actually released Ill do everything to track it down. Simple and basic. I hope its released.
