Hey the ZX spectrum was ace man, I spent many an hour watching the screachy lines on the TV as the tape loaded waiting for the "please turn over tape" message only to have it crash. But hey it was just like being Mathew Broderick in war games!

Ah, back when things were 'simple' and if you wanted a program, you had to write it.

At this stage in the game with a month to go before crunch time I would have thought it would have been a priority for them to keep something up on the website, after all you dont completely remove a site to update it. If it is down to paying the bill thats a shoddy lame excuse at this stage. Lame? Yes. Uncommon? No. Some mighty big companies have lost their hosting or even their domain name because some nameless drone in Accounting forgot to send in the check. It happens. If it KEEPS happening to the PP site much more than another day, I'm gonna start to worry.

It's nearing 3 PM in Seatle right now. I'd guess someone at Pendragon is up by now, noticed the problem and contacted Homestead?
I still want to believe in Mr. Hines project, but I'm getting very confuseled at what to hope for.
Please Mr. Hines, share some information about the project with us.

No doubt the evil people over at Paramount have something to do with this. They certainly view Hines as dog dropping on the red carpet to the Oscars and the ET and E! extras.
Seriously, Spielberg's Superbowl garbage probably has directed all sorts of web traffic from the mindless herd to Pendragon's site too.
C'mon. Tom Cruise outrunning a fighting machine in a minivan.
Let me repeat that: Tom Cruise outrunning a fighting machine in a minivan.
As sceptical as I might be about Pendragon's reach and abilities, I got to cheer for the underdog here.

Still not getting anything here, and I'm in SoCal - possibly the closest on the forum to their hosting up in NoCal.
If you're not getting graphics or links, are you sure you're not just getting the cached version on your own system?
No offense intended, it's just that I'm not getting anything but the 'try again later' page, and I'm closest geograpically to their servers.

Still down, yes :-(
I doubt Spielberg or Paramount have anything to do with it. They've got nothing to fear from Mr. Hines' project.

The site showed up for me before, but when I clicked on a link went down again. Probably just server problems. War of the Worlds online has gone off once or twice over the years too

Any film withthe name War of the Worlds, is going to cause Paramount immense concern, no matter how small the production. It might of at the begining but I kind of think that Paramount may now see Pendragon as a bit of a joke. None of the stuff has been up to standard, they havent anounced a distributer and they cant even keep their website up a month before launch. Then you have paramounts budget-muscle, tallent-muscle and plain old size, I cant imagine them even having a meeting about Pendragons 'other' project at the begining, after all, they had Cruise and Spielberg, those two are money in the bank.

Its 14:03 here in England and its still not up, alarm bells are ringing.

I also doubt any web page hoster in the world would dream of approaching the likes of Paramount and asking them to pay the bills. lol ;D
