I see a light gun on a platform, what may be a turtle foredeck, she looks like she may be a torpedo boat destroyer, the vessel in the book that's open looks rather like a TBD... I think she'll be rather like HMS 'Havock'. I've no objection to that, and the time period is right! ;D

... the JW version.
The book is far more stirring with the Thunderchild NOT firing her guns until she was ramming the martian machines.
"...cannons blazing as she came!".... PAH!

I see they're using lightwave. I hope they can do better than the big ben scene with thunderchild.

I'm gonna be one hell of a pretty ship! ;D Johan Yeah, but to bad you are only a CGI. ;-) Pitty though, it only shows the front part in wireframes. But it does look very promising! -Gnorn

Interesting - but I hope that's not the entire special effects crew working on this project. Unusual picture and it looks a bit staged.

So let me get this right. Pendragons SFX team make their models in the same room as the CG are made? CG on a computer on an old desk? They had 43 million dollars or 28 million pounds depending on which Hines statement you believe and this is it? Some people in a green room doubling as the model shop and the I.T. department? That seems amazingly shoddy to me, remember this company was not set up for war of the worlds its been going a while now on smaller projects and Chrome came before War, I would have expected more than one bloke on a computer, that thunderchild shot is going to take ages with one bloke building it. It just doesnt look like a full effects department in full swing, my art class in college had more exciting pictures taken than this!

Hmm. While SFX departments don't need to be housd in large complexes like ILM; I think Weta Workshop and Weta Digital are only in a warehouse like place, this photo does seem a bit of a set up.
That or it has been captioned wrong and the impression it gives is a false one. I seriously doubt that this is the complete total of Pendragon's SFX (Magic Dragon Effects) department.

It's certainly a bit strange and looks like a bunch of students working on a short film project. I don't think I've seen many [ if any ] professional film companies with that kind of set up.

The truth is that the quality dresses in the trailer of pendragon, seems to me to be slightly past fashionable, there are obvious very much the special effects, the truth, not since they dare to take a project like that with this technology
