Concept Artwork - The Martian - Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The WorldsI am pleased to announce that I have obtained some excellent 'concept' artwork from Ollie Record Productions/Jeff Wayne Music of the 'actual' Martian itself, posed inside the green hue of the cylinder for Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds. The Martian is designed by Dave Freeman, concept artist and storyboard artist for 'Ollie Record Productions' who is also credited to the successful shows on the BBC such as Killer Dinosaurs and the current series of Doctor Who. With much thanks to Ollie Record Productions/Jeff Wayne Music & Dave Freeman

Interesting also to see that Dave Freeman has worked on Doctor Who and the upcoming Killer Dinosaurs. I wonder what he designed for Doctor Who.

I like it, but judging by the shape of his eyes, that Martian must have terrible astigmatism. He should go to Specsavers!

Looks good! Although I really liked the martians from the game! One point: the tentacles are not "grouped" in bundles.

Well it's got 2 large dark eyes by the looks of it, a rounded head, v shaped mouth with it's pointed upper lip [ as far as I can make out] and Gorgon groups of tentacles so it appears quite faithful to the books description.
