Here's my next piece of artwork - a piece of JW fanart... ThunderChild! ;D (it had to be done ) "The Martians released their Black Smoke, But the ship sped on, cutting down one of the tripod figures. Instantly, the others raised their Heat Rays, and melted the ThunderChild's valiant heart." Yeah... the non-cartoonish background/smoke effects with the cartoon tripods is a little odd... but that's just how I felt like drawing it at the time. enjoy.

Wow... That is an old piccie you've pulled up there from the depths of my art bin in serious need of an update. It's not just a new background it needs - I think that old sketch needs a total redraw! (I've done a really shoddy outlining job there - particularly on the windshield... and some of the angles are all wrong... but it is an old favourate of mine so deserves a redraw. ;D ). I'd certainly enjoy trying to revamp it sometime. In short... Hint acknowledged. P.S. Thanks for pulling it up CT, I'd almost forgotten about it. It's quite cool to see how my style has changed since then.

And I have not to forget something resemble thunderchild in my book LOL. cheers and keep up the good work. Chantale. ;D

(I've done a really shoddy outlining job there - particularly on the windshield... and some of the angles are all wrong... why didn't you all tell me how bad my art was?!? ). I guess it just shows how much my art style has changed over the last year. In short... Hint acknowledged. Hey, wasn't hinting at anything. Just suggesting. I didn't tell you how bad your art was because if you saw what I can draw (Which in my own thoughts is shocking) you'd understand the meaning of 'bad' and I thought that it was very good in the first place.

Hehe... don't worry I know. By "hint acknowledged" I meant that I may well undertake your suggestion as an art project in the near future... it has inspired me to try something out. ;D The comment about 'bad art' wasn't really serious at all - just the typical artist dissing their own work thing (Many artists, myself included, don't like much of their own work and will openly point out all it's flaws to others - many of my friends say that I'm my own worst critic sometimes - but often I only pull it apart like that if I feel it is worth improving, as I do with the above piece). Don't get me wrong... It is cool to have some of the old artwork pulled up - I had forgotten about that piece, and it holds some real nostalgia value. I really appreciate it. Also - don't put your own art down too much either. You've done some pretty good 3D art and photoshop image manipulation work yourself... Anyway, thank you for the kind words everyone. It really does mean a lot.

Thanks also for the kind words Lupe. Photoshop and 3D art is one thing, but me putting pen to paper is another - I go and draw a circle and next thing I know there's a nice square on the page. I don't consider myself an 'artist' which is why I do most of my stuff on the computer - I find it easier. Thanks once again but this your thread so I think that me saying that your 'Thunder Child' picture is excellent is in order. Well done and keep up the good work.

One thing I really enjoy about your art Luperis, is it's versatility. Your art is both unique and skillful across a variety of mediums. Keep it goin'

Thanks guys. I'll have to start on some more artwork... maybe using a few different mediums - some more sketches or maybe some painted ones (haven't got the ol' acrylics out for a while...) as well as the photoshop/fireworks stuff. ;D

Talking of older sketches... I was looking through my sketchbook and found a half-finished sketch of a handling machine based on my mantis-style tripod... so finished it off (it is the one on the left, next to it is my original FM scetch). I'm not too happy with the claws, but thought I'd share it anyway: It is coloured in using pencil crayons. It is orange because I realised that I hadn't drawn any orange machines yet. ;D Enjoy.

It's all very good as usual Luperis, nomatter what design you use, it's got your style like writing through a stick of rock. Many artists spend years developing an individual style, but you just do it naturally. That's a sign of true talent! More please! :-)

Thank you everyone. Well, I've got a couple of ideas to work with now... so there should be some more artwork soon. Until then, here's a cute martian pic. ;D "Why is there a chinchilla on my head?" (The world may never know).
