Yeah. The Martians actually have to be weakened a bit so the humans would have a chance though.

I was thinking more about the players who are gonna be painfully crawling along the ground towards their tripods who are gonna be constantly under fire. They need alot more health to withstand against pesky little redcoats snipers. I spose humans are gonna need a heck more fire power than pictured in the book though...
Maybe humans could have time on their side? The Martians could take time to assemble their fighting machines, enougth time maybe for the humans to go in by foot and dispose of them?

It would also be possible to balance them in numbers then in strength.
Like i said, we could give the martians some device or back(brain)pack so they can normally move in earth gravity for the martian footsoldiers to have a good chance but the same health as humans.
With the vehicles, concidering the Fighting Machines are offcourse these awe inspring great titans of death, we could give the Peeps strenght in numbers.
The Scout machines wont be that strong allthough quite impressive tripods, but it would be possible to take em down with a few good blows of a tank or cannon.
The Fighting Machines are bigger and stronger so i suggest spawn 2 vehicles against 1 FM, to counteract the martian power.
Or the spawning time for the martian machines could be longer then that of human vehicles.

The book describes the martians originally crawled to the second pit in a thing like a dish cover!

Maybe they could be vehicles then? With weapons pods on them or something?

Sadly school has been my major burden over the last few months, and I have been unable to carry on with the project as I would have liked to. Hopefully AFTER school is over I can continue on with it.
