^ I would say the unenjoyable far overpowered the enjoyable.

Sorry, kid. You're just one of those poor saps who refuse to admit the truth whe it's right in front of your face because you have a ton of biased biews, and preconcieved notions. The fact is that Asylum has better pacing, acting, music, and special effects. Top that off with the fact that the director has been an open member of the community, and has been involved with the fans, and well... It becomes obvious who has the real film makers passion. Timothy Hines only strong point is that he follows the book. He lied to everyone blatanly. His special effects are laughable, the whole film has a weird varrying yellow tint, tne sound effects and music are stupid, and the acting is gay. Simply gay. In technical terms, and theatrical Asylums' War Of The Worlds takes a giant poop on your beloved Timothy Hines. I make these assumptions from your "review" of asylums version located in the asylum forum. Take a look. It doesn't really review Asylums' version. It reviews Pendragons. Asylums picture might be better made than Hines but Latt is out to make a quick buck and nothing else. Nothing wrong with that some might say but don't pretend you're a pillar amongst the WOTW fan community. I also think a big film company which begins with P is behind this and it ain't Pendragon.

Take a look at what Hines said in his interview. Now I know Hines might not be the most reliable guy in the world and some might say even worse but what he says about Asylum has more than a ring of truth to it. The facts appear to be there. Take a look at them. Some conspiracies are actually true and even though I wouldn't really call this a conspiracy - I'd say it has more than a hint of big business marketing tactics.

How do you know it's paranoid conspiracist nonsense? Because if it looks like paranoid conspiracist nonsense, and sounds like paranoid conspiracist nonsense, chances are it's paranoid conspiracist nonsense. Now listen, I can't be bothered to get involved in one of those awful, protracted, increasingly bitter arguments which used to delight me so much. Suffice it to say that speculation + Tim Hines's insane ramblings + no actual evidence = sod all. Let's just agree to disagree - I say tomahto, you say tomayto, let's call the whole thing off... PS: The facts appear to be there. There aren't any facts - you say so yourself.

Ok but I thought this before Hines even made that statement and I still totally stand by it. There's loads of conspiracies that I think are absolute pants, but the first reaction of someone who wants to dismiss someone with a theory is to call them a conspiracy theorist.

...but the first reaction of someone who wants to dismiss someone with a theory is to call them a conspiracy theorist. Only when they put forward a conspiracy theory. Apart from which... Tomahto...

and the acting is gay. Simply gay you homophobic bastard! As a Lesbian I find your comments insulting and derogatory. there is nothing wrong with gay acting though the way you mention the word here I find truly offensive. You bloody apologise now you little turd or I'll come and rip yer neck off. there was no need for the word to be used like that you immature little creep.

[glow=purple,2,300]Amber - this may be a case of cultural differences, and Zero may not have intended any offence.
In America, the word "gay" means lame, or duff, and doesn't really have any connection to same-sex relationships. It's like f.a.g.g.o.t* - in the UK, this is food (a form of meatball), in the US it's a derogotory term for a homosexual man. [/glow]
*Had to put full stops in, as the automatic offensive word changer replaces it with gay!

And the word is used to mean 'lame' or 'duff' precisely because of homophobic intent - Zero wasn't praising the acting, was he?
Now, I'm not saying that Zero is homophobic, as people use words in jest without any feeling for the original intent, but he should have been more careful in his choice of words.

[glow=purple,2,300]I suppose it depends on your social circle, and the age you were brought up in. I agree that Zero could have chosen his words more carefully, but as language changes, definitions change, and people don't always realise that people may interpret that phrase differently, as they're used to the accepted definition amongst their friends. This comes into greater effect across continents. [/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]I agree that Zero could have chosen his words more carefully...[/glow] Indeed. Now if Zero had said the acting was 'French, simply French' that would have been fine, because we all know that 'French' is synonymous with everything that is wrong in life.

French people freak me out.
What with their furry women and nuts.
I imagine a tripod vaporizing crowds of French, and instead of dust plumes, hairballs flying about.
Wee wee!
