It just gets worse doesn't it. Just the kind of sentence to make people buy your dvd.

I wonder if it will get up to $2.00.... Maybe. Maybe more. I've often pulled out of auctions on eBay when the bid has gone over the price of the item new. Sometimes in a bidding frenzy eBayers get carried away..... If this is something not that easily obtainable - that is in countries outside the Wallmart Empire - it could go way over.... At my university they sometimes have 'Worst of Hollywood' Festivals and even 'Plan 9 Discos'. There will be people out there more than eager to add this to their collections if they think it really is a turkey. Zoe

It is interesting to read the seller's description of this film. The description begins with "This has got to be the worst movie I have ever viewed. It is so bad that they should give us 2 stars for taking the time to see it. Viewed Once." This is the first time I've ever seen anything offered for sale on E-bay where the seller tells everyone how bad the item being sold is.
If nothing else, I complement the seller for their honesty.

Anybody else find this a bit odd? I'm sorry but nobody who sells anything is going to put a statement out like that unless they're a bit thick or maybe have some sort of an agenda.
Surely the first rule of selling is that you make something sound as good as possible. You might say a book etc your selling is damaged but you don't deliberately say something you're selling is a load of crap even if it is really bad. And Hines movie might be bad and a huge disappointment, but to say it's the worse movie you've seen - well the person who's selling this obviously hasn't seen some of the films that I've seen.
Strange!

Well, perhaps the poor chap selling it didn't want to exhalt how good the movie was in case of accusations of fraud once the buyer got to see it!
Actually selling it as "the worst film I have ever seen" may work. There are plenty of people out there who actually enjoy watching truly dreadful films as they can be 'so bad, they are good' and hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Poor acting, effects and dreadful direction can be selling points to some as these can make films quite entertaining. I wonder how much it'll go for?
For another straight-to-DVD horror, has anyone seen a cheap British fantasy film called "The Mumbo-Jumbo?" (2000) It had an incomprehensible plot, dreadful confused direction and monstrous cast of British hams, namely:
Jamie Walters / Who? Brian Blessed / "Will you stop shouting, Brian?" Joss Ackland / Ham overlord. Melinda Messenger / So the dads will watch. OK, me too. Richard O'Brien / Rent-a-weirdo/wizard/mystic whatever. John Inman / Stiil alive! I was amazed. Brian Murphy / George and Mildred; still alive too. I was amazed again! Nigel Davenport / Well to be fair, he's not too bad. Sylvester McCoy / Least favourite Doctor, but it wasn't his fault his scripts were a steaming heap of dog cack for the most part.
IMDB rates it 2.5/10. The sad thing is the cast of dubious talent above made me buy it. My advice to anyone else is don't.

You don't understand, guy. There are a lot of people who love to watch and laugh at really bad movies, and this amounts to a challenge for them. Look at the huge following that Ed Wood had. Look at how popular Mystery Sceince Theater 3000 is on DVD. And as Zoe notes, the Pendragon film has a promising future as an attraction at bad movies night that many colleges have. Some people,at times, come off as somebody who has no sense of humor or irony where anthing to do with WOTW is concerened.

I certainly do understand dudalb and that advert is questionable to say the least. I'm fully aware that people like to watch bad movies. I've watched plenty myself and enjoy some of them. Fair enough if you're is selling an Ed Wood type film that a lot of people know is bad and is known for being bad then yes you would put that in the films description - but to sell a newly released film based on such a famous story and say it's the worse film you've ever seen? I've seen crap Jean Claude Van Damme films for sale on Ebay plus others and virtually no one goes out of their way to say that they're that bad. They just give a description of the film and price etc and that's it.

It must be Hines taking the negative turns into a positive approach. All I can say it doesn't work!

It's not you is it FS?
Currently at £1.25. How much do you think it will go for?
I reckon that the postage will be higher. No more than £3.50.

Unless I've suddenly uprooted myself from S. Wales to America without realising. With that kind of advertising I'd be surprised if it goes at all. Mind you there's always one I suppose!
