I'm surprised I haven't seen any comments about this yet, but I picked up the new CFQ magazine a couple days ago and they've got a article on the Pendragon WOTW plus a new pic of their tripods standing over London (unfortunately I don't have a scanner, or I would post it). I have a feeling a lot of people here will hate it, but I like the design for the most part. It's got a definite, 1960s retro kind of look to it, and reminds me of the Nautilus from 2000 Leagues Under The Sea for some reason. As for the article itself, it consists mostly of Hines acting like a paranoid conspiracy nut, suggesting that Paramount rushed their movie into production a year early just to foil Pendragon's plans. Somehow... I kinda doubt that.

Wow thats cool, what is CFQ?
I hoped for an old fashioned looking tripod. Aslong as it's scary I'll be happy.

It's what Cinefantastic magazine is now calling itself.
As for the tripods, they DO look old fashioned. They're sort of tough to describe though. They've got a very wide stance like the Jeff Wayne tripods but the legs are a lot more arty and elegant looking. The head looks sort of like the front of the Nautilus, with three big "eyes" inside. It's got these big (too big if you ask me) metal tentacles and a circular heat ray on top of it's head.
They do look slightly dorky, but also like something straight out of a 60s scifi movie, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you ask me.

Oops, sorry guys. I forgot most of you aren't in the US. I've been checking all the other WOTW sites but there's no mention of it there either. Hopefully soon...
If all else fails, I can always take a picture of it with my digital camera later. lol
