Given all the discussion regarding this production ..has the events / discussion put a downer on your personal opinions/expections of the film ...reading the past threads people were fanatically excited about this ...but now does it seem that the shine has been taken off, despite it being WOTW, has it become a bind so to speak? Is there a sense of "bugga this I have spent so much time banging on / defending it /slating it, putting up with it that I will go and see it anyway cos it owes me that time/ emotional energy back .. and have the cold emotionless ..well thank god I have managed to see it, now lets go get a kebab and see what SS can do!! Would your enjoyment of the film have been more if every had gone to plan, smoothly. Yes it would have done.... but everthing doesn't appear to be running smoothly does it, so is that ruining the film for you - the expectation, the enjoyment of seeing it on the big screen.

Iwould have prefered abosulte candor from PD It's still not too late, but whilst I havnt lost faith in the film itself I am rapidly loosing faith in Pendragon itself

I see it now as a lot of fuss over nothing. If PP have got a film coming out on TWOTW, let us know then and i'll make plans to see it. Other than that I have the other 2 'Worlds' projects to look forward to.

I'm just about burnt out here Tomahawk - I really believed in this guy once upon a time now I feel stupid and empty about it - I feel like Rick in Casablanca standing on the station reading that letter from Elsa in the rain. Dear Rick, sorry for everything, but there will be no movie....here are the trailers - watch them and think of me... Tim. It shouldn't have come to this - this whole experience should have been good times - making friends by posting high octane exciting posts not losing by degrees as we all sat and watched our hopes unravel month by month to sad to be angry anymore...

to sad to be angry anymore... When i first saw the trailers i think i was the first of the negative guys here. I shot the trailers down in flames. but now the above sentence about sums me up thats why i only post the odd sentence here and there rather than any kind of debate. i want PP and TH to pull that magic rabbit out of the top hat but i dont see it happening. wether ts production problems, money problems distibution or legal troubles the odds are nt looking good. Plus this wall of silence from PP is not helping. Yes Paramount and even jeff Wayne is keeping the fans regularly appraised, surley PP can do this? A word here, a sentence there. Sadly humans need facts to work with. half truths and walls of silences will make the human imagination work all that much harder and not for the better. If it happens it does, if not, then it don't i wont be surprised either way.

omg i love that film so much! Absolutley, I have found that most (I stress most not all) of the people who dont like Darko simply dont have the mental capacity to understand the subtle levels of the story. I found the part where Donnie refuses to put a mark on the line between fear and love to be one of the most beutifuly simplistic yet powerful messages in the film. There is no black and white, only grey, take off the self imposed blinkers and think for your self. An excellent film.

Maybe TH got a visit from SS dressed in DV (DVADER) costume and was told "Hines ...<deep breath> .. I am your father ..., and that has screwed him up
or SS puts a personal stereo to Hines head when he is sleeping and blasts him with Iron Maiden and says if he continues with this film he will heatray his head (BTTF 1)

I for one will be going out of my way to see this movie. i dont care if the SF is on the cheap as long as PP keeps as close as possible to the book i am going to love it. I have been a huge WOTW fan since my mum scared the bejesus out of me when i was a kid, with the Jeff Wayne version.
I will be in Seattle in june so i might stop by PP just to say i've been there. and also Seattle might be the only place in north america that will have a theatre showing the PP version.
and when(IF) the dvd comes out i will buy it, regardless of price and wheather i have any $ or not.
I think when all of the smoke has settled about the SS vs. PP versions of the WOTW we are still going to have two really cool movie adaptations of a great book, and i will have more cool dvd's to watch.

Ok, then; my current thoughts on the state of Pendragon's TWOTW:
To hell with it; seeing as it's rather doubtful I'll see it in theatres, and will end up renting or buying even, on DVD.....I just feel that I should at least give it a shot, you know? Regardless of what looks bad about this film, the fuss it's kicked up has more than piqued my curiosity to see wether or not it truly is either that bad, or a modest independent effort on the part of Hines' to give us a good interpretation of Well's classic(and personal favourite)science fiction story. Either way, I have to know how it really turned out, garbage or not.

I dont think there is a PP vs. SS situation here, its as simple as "how good (or how bad) is this movie and when will any of us get to see it?" and only PP can answer those questions.
