Update for you: According to the Nokota Horses website (who provided horses for the shoot), the DVD will be released on June 15. That's fast work! There's a few behind the scenes pictures of horses at the link below. Alas no Martians I'm afraid! www.rockinbarh.com/Events/Movie/Movie.htm

I found the link ages ago whilst doing a search on Pendragon pictures. I check it out every now and then to see if there are any updates. I was quite impressed with the army officer on horseback, the uniform looks spot on from my limited knowledge. Have a look at this picture: www.rockinbarh.com/Events/Movie/WOTW%20014.jpg

Nice find Phil. . . Now this is interesting. The film is due for release on the 30th March. So far from recent events we cant say this is for sure, could be correct, but with a DVD release date of June 15th good back up the possibilities this film could bypass the cinama and go straight to DVD.

My thoughts exactly, H_C.
Maybe it'll have a very, very limited cinema release and then go straight to DVD. That it will be released at the pictures in some limited distribution seems to be fairly likely as Hines's and the Nokota Horses's sites both seem to be sticking to the statement.
Interesting.

Whoa Nellie! DVD release on June 15? Does anyone know anything about DVD production/distribution? Any way to follow the progress/accuracy of this? Nice work, Phil.

I suppose it would depend on what extras will be offered to a degree. For the Lord of the Rings Special Editions Peter Jackson spent months and months putting the stuff together for each one but some more 'extra deficient' movies can be put together quite quickly I believe. Look at what is on offer on a typical, bog standard DVD release.. Trailers (all ready to transfer) TV Spots (ditto) Sometimes a 'First Look' style documentary (ditto) Making ofs.. (filmed whilst principle filming is underway, perhaps some cutting for this and some interviews to be filmed) Director's/cast or crew commentaries (need to be done) Animated menus (need to be done)
Unless the DVD is packed with mind-boggling special features, it could probably be done fairly quickly. A lot of DVD's in blighty now appear roughly 4 months after the cinema release. That would make it about right.

DVD's can be released in a matter of weeks, its only the logistics of physicaly distributing the product to the point of sale, for instance the weekend papers ocasionaly give away free DVD's, these are litteraly coppied and packaged a week before.
Basic menus for a DVD are easy to generate and extras should have been planned during the first stages of the production.
The good thing about DVD's is that you can release anything on DVD yourself and there is always a distibuter waiting to produce the DVD simply because its cheap to do, even if the DVD is a budget bargain bin affair they will recoupe a proffit.

with a weblink to this forum....
where they can read the history, the trials, the running thread-pitch battles and the brutal anguish of the common fans, the endless closing of threads by control freakery censorship, the laughs, the tears, the bitterness building day by day, the maurading 'single post' swooping forum attacks from the pendragon crew as they coe down in anonymity to kick the crap out of free speech and critical dissent with insider knowledge, they will learn of the brown envelopes stuffed with cash sent to invisible web agent provocateurs to kibosh the hideous truth about the plasticine big ben scene which was savagely mauled by men of critical discernment, they will see a 5 year story of tragic proportions and how hopeful fools had there hopes elevated to fever pitch only to be dashed against the rocks. Finally they will see in it's bloody horror the notorious midnight mayday riots of tens of fans at arthouse cinemas all across seattle when the realisations that it is never coming arrives and the hillbilly minkyshaft employees and investors go on the rampage burning down apple stores and linux warehouses, leaving burning effigees of spielberg's et doll in their wake..
What above all they will see is the pathetic 6 year story of a broken dream gone sour...
...the horror....the horror...

Wow, pretty much all the conspiracy theories in one post... I'm impressed! Perhaps they could make a documentary and call it 'Pendragon 3/30' or something?

Its not beyond the realm of common sense to presume somebody from PP has walked among us at some time or another, if I was them I would.

Well.. I know that they watch these boards, as do the other major players in this field. It's to be expected. I am not aware of anyone from any of these organisations posting, though. Anyway, we've all got our own brains and are hardly likely to be swayed by such practices, should they occur.

I was quite impressed with the army officer on horseback, the uniform looks spot on from my limited knowledge. This is the only thing I can see that Pendragon might have had to change. For whatever reason it may be. But in the novel all the soldiers, cavalry, artillery etc. etc. wore traditional red and white uniforms. I first noticed it on the teaser trailer when the Fighting Machine walked over the gun crew. Unless of course Pendragon have set it a few years later.
