Disclaimer: What i have heard i at time of writing i cannot confirm. Repeat: THE FOLLOWING IS NOT CONFIRMED.
As i work in the centre of Woking chances i hear a lot of local gossip, some is cr*p some is pure diamond.
I'm not sure where the following goes. So take with pinch of salt until i can confirm it.
Here goes:
Woking Ambassadors Cinemas will be showing advanced previews of WOTW Tim Hinds version on MARCH 22nd 2005.
This HAS YET TO BE CONFIRMED.
@ Charles: can you confirm anything your end.
I will be digging further my end... watch this space.
(will this be the world premier? Ive nagged PP for holding the premier here i wonder, if true that this could be it...)

Well it fits in with that old saying "Be careful for what you wish for, you just might get it!"

Rusti's phone conversation:
"Hello?" "Hello, this is Rusti, hello!" "Yes? Hello! Hello!" "I just want to ask sir, if you don't mind?" "No no, not at all. Not at all." "Well, what I want to know, you see?" "Yes, yes, continue?" "Well, I'm wondering? Is your refrigerator running?" "Er? Yes, it is?" "Well! You better run behind it and catch up!" *click*

It would be good to see the Premier of PP War of the Worlds in its birth place. I would go if Pendragon send me some free tickets ;D.

I checked with Mr. Hines about the UK release date, etc. As he understands, specifics about the UK market will be released in early February, but he is checking to see if he can get us more details before then.

So, Rusti S, are you no longer hostile towards the movie? Now its confirmed CGI prototyped? Three things. 1) proof of the pudding is in the eating, if the film is indeed sheduled for its premier/early showing on 22nd March (yet to be confirmed no one is saying anything) then i have a feeling that many of the effects shots are already done so there fore ill pass judgement when i see the movie not before. 2) I'm a HUGE fan of B5 and learing that Foundation imaging the SFX guys for B5 is on this project has lifted my spirits a great deal. 3) The trailer is previsualization, im certain of that. too many of the shots are very rough and looked 'sketched on' i think just to guide the animators to put in the real hi rez footage.

Rusti where did you learn that Foundation Imaging are doing the effects for this. As far as I know from earlier press releases by Pendragon - they were supposed to be involved when Pendragon first announced they were doing this back in 2001- but as far as I'm aware Foundation Imaging has now closed.

To be honest Rusti I've come across that site before and I think that's taken from the original Pendragon press releases from 2001. That information as far as I can remember has been up for a couple of years now and I think it's possibly a case of someone getting things a bit mixed up and not updating etc.
Go to Google and type in foundation imaging closed and click on the third link down [ under Micro Mart ] and you'll then see an explanation. I think their last show which they worked on was Roughnecks.
