I've said before that we need a man/woman on the ground in Seattle. Someone to do some recon, as you say. Knock on a few doors and keep a blog here on the forum. I'd like to make the trip myself, but unfortunately I'm on the east coast and it just ain't practical. Maybe we should muster the troops and call for volunteers? Sadly, I think CPP and I are the closest, and both of us are in southern California. Seattle is still over 1100 miles from here.

I think I'm gonna start tunneling towards the Pendragon Pictures office. Care to help? Because it would take a while coming from the Netherlands. ;-)

"/It'll be aimed at 12 year olds, with an attention span of 5 seconds" Yeah, just like "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan". I am not a Speilberg fan boy buy this instant dismissal of him is just dumb. "From the looks of the Pendragon site, it has all the appearances of a company trying to keep the illusion alive. Yet it lists a release date of March (!) 05. " If anybody beleives the film will be in theaters on March 30, I have some ocean front property in Kansas you might be interested in.....
Sorry, but as much as I would like to see a period WOTW done well, I have to admit....with the proviso I could be wrong...that it is looking less and less likely that Pendragon's film is going to be it. I think they started out with good intentions, but got themselves in way over their head . They found out that the actual filming is only the first part of putting a motion picture together. The total lack of information on the film...I am not talking about new photos but simply facts on when and where it will open...does not lend one confidence.
The Jeff Wayne version looks promising from the artwork he has given us. And if he can get Dreamworks to back it, more power to him....

(Ah, drat it. Caught myself being a bit sarcastic and so I'll change this to something more constructive. Apologies to anyone who read the original version!)
Okay, Mr. Dudalb,
I gotta say, my friend, that you seem awfully sure that the Pendragon film will not release on time.
So this is really supposition, right? Based on what you consider to be a lack of information from Pendragon, that the movie is somehow in trouble and therefore won't release on time.
I'll certainly accept that as your opinion, but you keep stating it like it's a fact, on nearly every Pendragon-related thread in this forum, and it's got me wondering if you've somehow got some inside information. (Seriously - no sarcasm intended)
From where I sit, AsheRaven's point that we haven't seen any more information (in fact, less) from Paramount is well taken, and yet that one doesn't seem to bother you.
I know Paramount is a big studio, but information is information. How are you arriving at such a definite, factual conclusion?

Ermm, why on Earth would Jeff Wayne want Dreamworks to back him? GHis version is already a marketable comodity.

Hi Topaz, I dont want to sound negative and I dont want to incure your (or anyone elses!) wrath but I think your being a bit unfair to tell people what they can and cannot post (sorry for being ranty - erk!) it seems to be a defence mechanism thats triggered when someone voices a negative opinion about Pendragon Pictures, it intrigues me because it doesnt realy happen in the other sections (as much) its like this is a little church with too many priests all preaching to one another, its pretty uncool. I dont have any problem with anything Dudalb has said or motile or anyone else, they are speaking freely, our grandads faut for the right to free speach, so what if some repeat themselves its not a big problem in the scheme of things is it? It seems to be a cycle, they say something some others dont like, the defence mechanism kicks it and they get told off for saying it or repeating themselves or something like that and they reply with some remark or whatever and it turns into one of those arguments I have with my girlfriend when we both need to get the last word in, when all we had to do was say "I see your point" and move on, with out the angst. I will stop now as im sounding ranty and im boring myself so one last thing, I dont think Dudalb has called anyone an idiot hes just stating that he believes the film wont be out on time, everybodys opinion matters but in the scheme of things does it make a difference? Not one little bit. Thats me all done

Thats me all done Well, you were certainly right about the tone of my post, and I've modified it accordingly - was doing so as you posted, actually. The question still remains in my mind, so I've just found a better way to ask it. Would you mind terribly deleting my original post as a quote in yours? Bad is bad, and I'd just as soon forget I posted it.

Pretty please? ;D Looks like it did get buried. It seems like we could pull this off. If there's support for this, I'll start a thread CALLING CARIOCA, or something like that. Make a plea for someone in the area to investigate. Maybe Rob could deputize him?
