That would make a good anti theft device as well! Of course it would be muggins here who would forget and get these already crispened fingers zapped!

You could always photoshop Sparks onto it afterwards.

The basket is looking good. I've never been that good with metalwork, but know how hard it is to do something that small. Well done, Poyks.

Basket attachment and body detailingThe sanding has been done, and the basket attached. At this point I've also marked and cut the join line around the body, and marked the positions of the leg holes. Here, the rough shape of the leg holes has been cut, and a coat of primer applied before fine detailing begins.

I continue to be very impressed (and envious!) of your skill and artistic ability, Pokys! That basket looks absolutely beautiful. Is it to have a cover? Not meaning to criticize, I realize you're following someone else's design, but I don't understand what's to keep the bipedal cattle from escaping.

Looking good I must say that your model-making skills are astounding - the way you appear to have everything come out so well on the first try is impressive.

Thanks. I think it's more luck than judgement Luperis! I do tend to think about three of four stages ahead though.

Custard yellow coloured a Poyks trademark of quality D.F.

Yep, at times like this, I'm glad I'm a fan of custard, and not chocolate blancmange! ;D (The latter of course being too dark to photograph. Phew! ) PS, Lensman, I've made the basket sides a little taller than scale for that reason. I imagine the rim of the basket to be electrified or suchlike.

Eh up guys!
The model is looking good Poyks. It is nice to see you are taking the time to share it's build with us. Nice scale too. Does this match the scale of the tripod?

Ay up H_C!! :-) ..and thanks.
Yep, they're the same scale, so I'll be able to do some cool photos of them both when this one is finished.

Are you going to get your Fimo and Linka out to make a diarama (Diorhaaaama?!!) Poyks? like the models themselves aren't enough! There's always someone who wants more! Speaking of which, now you've had a bit of practice, are you going to start making them to order?

I'd reackon you'd make a killing if you sold them. They're really really good.

Thanks. :-) Donal, I'll probably do another outdoor photo shoot once this model is finished. The quarry will be a good setting as it has no obvious scale, and it's cheaper than Fimo.

Lower body detail and primingFormed from balsa and filler, then coated with filler-primer. Then after more sanding, a couple of coats of grey auto primer. Top coat......of Ford Nimbus Grey. ..and a quick test with the hood section shows roughly what the finished body will look like.
