HOLY SH!T !!!!!
That kicks some SERIOUS ass.
Cant wait to see the final piece.
Are you going to make the eyes/hood light up? Just saw the holes behind the hood and wondered if they were for wires?
Looking amazing my friend.

Thanks. I was thinking of putting lights in, but I may go for "black light" paint on the eyes instead. Dorsal detail and side podsBoth formed from balsa, and finished with filler. At this stage I've also nearly finished the bottom "fin". Sanding and priming....with progressively finer grades of sandpaper, then another layer of filler primer paint.

Tail fin constructionThis is carved from balsa wood and then filled. The mounting block for the rear leg is contained inside. Sanding and priming..again using three grades of sandpaper, then another coat of filler primer.

Line detailI've marked out the line coordinates with a marker pen and placed masking tape alongside to guide the knife blade. ...and this is the result.

Poyks, Looking gorgeous! The "tail fin" construction looks really sweet! Not to mention complicated. Your work denotes hours of devotion.

"Eyes"Formed from balsa and given coats of primer, silver spray paint and finally green transparent glass paint, the body is nearly finished! Time for a bit of legwork next methinks.
