I have just listened to the full track of War of the Worlds ULLAdubULLA - 14 - Dead London - Apollo Four Forty or something...
I have of course heard the original but this remix scared the HELL out of me!
The naration seemed to have a more chilling effect, and with the strange music it was perfect to send shivers down my spine.
Is the rest of the album this good?
---
I love the extra naration also!
"The mood quickly passed" or something, why was it not included in the original?

The Papa Ootzie Remix #3, and The Eve of the War [Martian Mix]: Max Mondo Remix #11, both on first CD, freak me out the Martians talking and the eerie breathing noises. I got the CD on New Years, went to a party and listened to both CDs all night long!
I think it's incredible.

It's worth it if you like Jeff Wayne. Mind yah...some of the tracks get a little..well...boring. But most of them are great. You can listen to a lot of the songs from UllaDubUlla for free on WellsRadio. Just go to my website and click the link.

There's a bit of repetition on the CDs (mainly because some of the tracks are extended on Disc 2) but for the price of it, it's a bargain. My faves are 'ulladubulla' itself (track 3) and the remix of 'The Spirit of Man' (track 5) which is basically a vocal version of the PC and PS1 games track. Krys, go and buy the thing. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Or... have a listen on Twisted Rabbit's site, then buy it. (Nice site btw Twisted!)

Sorry to sound a bit heathen, but that line always sounds like Richard O'Brien's Riff Raff from the Rocky Horror Picture Show!!! ;D ;D Doesn't stop it being a top double CD though. Cheers Nerfy!

'The problem is off course the humans' is take from the remix of 'UlladubUlla' which is on disc one. The 'Ulla' voice is sampled from the 'Highlights' album. 'UlladubUlla' remix single is basically the Martian Elders in conversation, plotting there journey to Earth - the same as what is on the PC game version. H_C

You will be suprised at what the Martians can do, though there West Midlands accent was a lot to be desired 'Ulla' = 'Awright our kid, were just tubout tu gu tu Burmingum' - but that was cut of of the final version.

I wonder why.... And I think there is some speach on the same track a bit later, something like "Mars is incapable of sustaining life..." Explain please? - Does HMV stock UlladubUlla in a good quantity? Not that I'm going to buy a lot but all shows near me are rubbish.

I wonder why.... And I think there is some speach on the same track a bit later, something like "Mars is incapable of sustaining life..." Explain please? Thats simple. . . . As you know Mars is slowly dying, the main reason to why the Martians start there decent to Earth, hence ' Mars is incapable of sustaining life...'

Gods, wait until he hears the bit about the hydrogen accelerator and the suspension pods! Yeah we know Krys, 'explain please!'... ;D The whole track is the Martian Elders discussion the reasons for and the methods to be used to get to Earth to invade. 'The problem is of course the humans' is the first and last statement in which we already occupy something they want. Maybe this was before they decided our blood was their favourite tipple.

We don't get stuff onlne or from the web because of risks or credit card info and such stuff like that, and e-bay, my dad, who is an antiques dealer, may start with all of that, but not yet.... I'll look out at HMV then! And H_C, "Doh! " lol
