This movie was supposed to be movie of the decade. So what do you all think? Myself, I don't think it even came close, so you can guess which option I am choosing, but maybe some of you might think it almost was?

Honestly no, there were better films [at least in my mind] then this movie this year...
Batman begins is one of them

Hmm, I'd say almost, but not quite. Batman Begins as sunny says, SW EP3 I thought was very good and Im looking forward to the master of re-creating a story, PJ's King Kong

Close but not quite the movie of the decade.

I don't think it even comes within a light year of being close to the film of the decade. It's just an average summer blockbuster and a real wasted opportunity.
There's only one film of the decade and that's Lord of the Rings. A faithful recreation of an epic book - that most people thought was impossible to make and unfilmable.
I like quite a few Spielberg films such as Close Encounters, Jaws, Duel, R.O.T.L. Ark etc but I really think he's past his prime now and it was also disappointing that the great John Williams score was largely forgettable too.

It is the best movie I have seen all year. Even better than SW EpIII, but not by much.

Oh it was miles better than Star Wars III - but LotR remains the best film/films I've seen

I dunno, I liked Episode III a lot better then WOTW personally. and I do think that the lord of the rings movies are severely over rated.

seriously though, am I the only one who conciders the lord of the rings movies over rated?
I am not saying they were bad, but pure fantasy with magic dwarves and elves isnt my thing

*nods* I mean I am not saying I did not like the lord of the rings movies, I am just saying that pure 100% fantasy isnt my thing... sure I will read a few fantasy books here and there and watch a few fantasy movies too [Ladyhawke, and the first Never ending story movie are two of my fave movies] but not in a movie theator for 4 hours strieght 0.o

Yeah everyone's got different tastes. I loved Ladyhawke too actually, it's one of those lesser known 80s fantasy films. I was always a fan of Rutger Hauer. Loved him in The Hitcher too.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie- but far from the best film of the decade. It's not even one of Spielberg's' best.

AI was dull but I loved the Terminal. Thought it was a really cookie sort of film and sentimental without being sickening. Thought Tom Hanks and Stanley Tucci were great together.

I agree, I just meant that I liked The Terminal. I wasn't suggesting that I prefered it to WotW. I LOVED WotW
