Aye, they pop up a fair bit - cute little things. You want to browse www.starshipmodeler.com/ for hints 'n' tips. Post a photo when you finish it!

It doesn't look very big, maybe about 3inch across from tip to tip. I have seen some this size and they were in a similar packaging.

Haha post some shots of your mini-city in chaos, and use lego men or something for sheer comic value. I can picture it already. Yessssss.........

I have also seen some that people have done using Sculpy;good versions that match up really well with the ones in the 53 version.Relatively easy to shape and mold to that manta-ray configuration we all find so appealing.I suggest that you have a good ''freeze'' function on your DVD player,to really get the correct angles and curves on your War Machine.

There are often these sorts of '53 models on e-bay.

Generally, the smaller the kit the crapper it is - hardly any detail and the cobra neck has a tendancy to snap in transit. There's a really nice 1/72nd scale version still available which measures about 10 inches across with clear green wing tips and front bit that's pretty much the ultimate.

Max, is that avatar an actual model, or a cgi rendering?
