Lavishly illustrated through out, this wonderful volumn is a celebration of the work of H.G. Wells featuring much articles, essays, letters, anecdotes, illustrations, photographs and memorabilia about the prophetic genius of the late nineteenth and early twentieth cetury's.
The books contents has a huge range of illustrations from period journals, and incluing many images well known by many H.G. Wells fans, showing scenes from many of his works that include The Time Machine, The War Of The Worlds, The First Men In The Moon, The Invisible Man, The Island Of Dr Moreau, When The Sleeper Awakes and many many more.
His classic novel The War Of The Worlds (1898) graces many pages with some large chapters about the book, film (1953), comics, serialisations and collectibles - all with many illustrations incluing the now famous Warwick Goble renderings from 1897.
The book is a worth while addition to not only any H.G.Wells collection, but also The War Of The Worlds, but be warned, its getting a scarce volumn to find.

How about The Baynester? Or McBayne? No no no, too much like the Arnie clone from The Simpsons...
