Well just got home a short while ago. While watching TV now, my wife turned to the Superbowl just for curiosity and it seems we timed it well as it then went into the trailer for the War of the Worlds and messages about how the Superbowl is being sponsored by this movie as well. Of course we have already seen this since the start of this thread.

Hey Mal - just to query, is the TV spot on the website the same one they ran during the Superbowl?

as far as i know it is, yeah. not the teaser trailer, but the tv spot. those are the 2 choices on the quicktime site, and i'm assuming the tv spot online is the same one that was showed during the superbowl

I have to say that I was expecting more, but then again as long as they don't release a trailer where they show practically *all* the best parts of the movie leaving nothing left to surprise us!

Wow. You guys rock. I could barely figure out the spot when it was on, and now I can see stillframes. Thanks! I guess my question now is: what about this "Tehy're already here!" line. Isn't that a part of the tease for the Cruise movie? I don't get it...

Stunt double. I'd bet $$ (or pounds) on it.
After all, Cruise is a guy who gets XXX millions per pic, demands a private helicopter to get around town, and made Fox re-do old steam tunnels on the lot so he could move around without being seen.
Why hand around to do a teaser?
Too bad he doesn't still have Nicole to go home to (I know, I sound jealous... come to think of it, I AM jealous...)
