I'll bet they're cheesed off... www.retrovisionmag.com/RetroVision Messes UpRetroVision Books is proud to un-announce three books that explore the phenomenon that is War of the Worlds. We regret to announce that the pair of War of the Worlds books focusing on the Pendragon Films production have been cancelled. The third title on the subject, War of the Worlds Revisited: From Wells to Spielberg, can be ordered directly from the publisher at: www.towson.edu/~flynn/wowbook.html. We apologize for any inconvenience. No credit cards were charged for pre-orders. We are very sorry for the incomvenience.Well, there you have it, end of story. And I'll bet they're none too pleased with Little Timbo for causing them to have to make a public apology. Well done, Timmy!

In order to match the movie the books would need to have been badly finished as well.
ie pencilled drawings that were not colored in, numerous typos in the text along with bindings that were not glued properly... ;D

I've never heard the phrase "proud to un-announce before"! Yes that is an odd phrase. You can almost hear the sigh of relief that they won't have to associate themselves with the books anymore! I can just imagine my car having engine troubles and phoning work to "proudly announce that my car has broken down and that I'll be unable to come to work this morning!"

But there again, nothing surprises me with Hines the cartoon villain director anymore. Wonder if Timbo and Pendragon will mysteriously disappear of the face of the earth very soon.

I had the image of them all gathered around popping corks off champagne bottles, like they'd been hanging on this announcement.

Did he ever exist in the first place? Wasn't he just some figment of all our deranged imaginations!

Wonder if Timbo and Pendragon will mysteriously disappear of the face of the earth very soon. I doubt it. There will be forever some corner of the internet that is forever Timbo's. Ooh, I feel a poem coming on... If I should lie, think only this of me: That there’s some corner of the internet That is forever Timbo’s. There shall be In those pixels a shyter pic concealed; A pic whom Seattle bore, shaped, made dire, Gave, once, her coffees to love, her fields to roam, And roam, and bloody roam forever, with feeble Brit accents, Washed by the camera’s light, blessed only by the gullible. And think, this film, all talent shed away, An outrage to the boggled mind, no less Gives somewhere back more thoughts of awfulness; Its sights and sounds; scenes crappy as the day; And laughter, bitter laughter; and vitriol, In hearts aflame, pour from an English heaven.
