Dunno about you but I think the Martians look rather cute ... must be getting soft , its a pity they have to get wiped out ... it's like putting a box of puppies and kittens to sleep Anybody notice the tenticles in the scene were the people are stood on the edge of the pit and for a fleeting moment you see some large tenticles flailing about.. it would seem they are quite largish martians then ....awwwww, all googly eyed love bundles of pure death sob sob Mind you they do seem to be keeping in with the book image

Notice how the tenticles in that scene don't actually move, but just rotate?
it's a static image.
Lame cgi attempts in this movie abound.

Basic concept for the Martians if the vidcaps are real good; Execution: Bad.

Remember the old picture from Pendragon years ago of the martian? So it actualy does look like that! A bit...
So we will see martian brains splatterted in hoods, around the recked house, and birds and dogs eating the "poor blighters"... (Like you didn't know that already!).

Hi all, I've been lurking around here for quite awhile now. I'd heard about a possible adaptation of the orignal story and stumbled across this site as I was trying to find out some more info about it and I've been closely follow the saga of Hines version for the past few months! Anyway, after watching the clips from the Pendragon version I reckon the Martians are very similar to this little fella: Might just be me, I was out on the pop lastnight!

Well, this is the Martian copping its whack at Shepperton... Bit vague in the old 'brains splattered in hoods' department there. Still, I think the googly Martian lurking outside the window of the house is sort of cute, in a grotesque alien conqueror sort of way...
