This really is a joke isn't it. Looks like it really is the straight to dvd piece of garbage we all feared.
It also looks like they really are using those puppet like fighting machines with the string sausage tentacles.
I think it's about time we all stopped giving these complete amateurs anymore publicity.

Yes one watching of this and you'll despair so much that you won't enter Blockbusters ever again.

Its probably the only version thats an 18 rate to try to keep the video away from as many people as possible for their own sanity.

I can see the headlines now - "HACK MOVIE DIRECTOR IN HIDING BECAUSE OF FURIOUS WOTWORLDS FANS"

I've seen worse straight to DVD films in Blockbusters. At least you'll have a choice in the US, and I think the Asylum DVD movie will fare better as a film. Of course, I haven't seen the full Pendragon film yet - so I'll hold judgement on it until I do. It may be a good film.

Now what scares me more is not the lousy coverdesign, but the fact that it's been created with the 2 pieces of concept/inspirational art that has been floating around for ages...

Looks like something any first year Graphic arts major could probably do better.

Agreed. Even the basic film Jeff Wayne did a few years ago looked superb. The test CGI has been superb also.
Oh well - hold out for the JW version for the authentic book version.

The jeff one wont be 100% authentic, nothing ever can be. (This topic has been discussed many many times so lets not go down there again).
At least it looks a bit more likely it'll come out, then we can all watch it, go "meh" and get on with more important things.

Thanx for posting that, Horsell! I still don't care much for the tripod design, but that aside the cover is laid out nicely. Looks like a professional design job-- unlike the first (teaser) poster!

Isn't it strange how those who've already made up their minds to hate this film before having ever seen it have the same slanted view of every new image that comes along from Pendragon? (Actually it's not strange, but sad.) Too bad your mind is closed, Rusti.
If I had designed that, I'd be quite proud-- and justifiably so.

The cover reminds me more of a poster made for a sci-fi show more than a cover thats to be used for a DVD - And Ive been to plenty of shows. It's effective in a way that you take note of whats on there, but it doesn't hold your attention long enough, sorry I was on about the Conservative Party then

I'm sorry Lensman, but I agree with Rusti.
I'm a professional designer and that cover would be sackable offense in ANY graphic design company. It's not just the design (or lack of it), it's the amateurish comping.
You really should aspire to something better than that.

Alternatively, it could be down to the cover being pants.
Seriously, there's nothing about that cover that says 'buy me' when I look at it. Not even any pictures of real actors, real war machines, or anything else to give me any idea of what the movie is like. In other words, it's a typical example of Pendragon marketing.
