No, all this means is that he is no longer committing himself to a date which is very suspicious.
The phrase 'Coming Soon is like saying how long is a piece of string? ie its now anybody's guess.

Comig Soon...? Hines have the movie..? It looks like we'll have to wait longer to see it marciano. That's if we get to see it all!

'Longer' being extremely relative of course. It sort of reminds me of people who'll tell you they have a book or something that they'll bring in and so a week later you will remind them, only for them to forget it again. Of course after a few weeks you naturally begin to get suspicious. Are they really *that* forgetful or do they even have the book, or... do they just not want me to have that book, in which case why did they even mention it in the first place! And so here we are with Tim Hines.

It's been delayed because they had to remove the Curate character so as not to offend their Italian distributor so soon after the death of the Pope.

LOL now that's a good one! While so far, he hasn't yet posted an excuse, it does seem uncanny doesn't it that whenever there is a delay there seems to be a corresponding major event.... Now the question is which one is the cause and which one is the effect?

It's been delayed because they had to remove the Curate character so as not to offend their Italian distributor so soon after the death of the Pope. But seriously, the fact the date keeps getting more and more vague is NOT a good sign... I'm still hoping for the DVD in mid-June, but have pretty much given up hope of ever seeing it in a cinema.

Personally, I'd rather forget about the whole thing until we get some more solid news. They can let me know when they're ready.. I won't hold my breath.

No exciting is when the you can rely on the release date. Pendragon just causes constant rolling of eyes. In fact so much so that soon I will no longer be able look down

I'm gonna have to agree with ulla and nerfherder. I'm over this, hines can shove it. Whats the bet it won't even make it to cinemas like promised but is released on DVD the same day Steve Speilbergs version comes out? Or possibly even later than that? I'll put a hundred down to start us off......

Yup. I'm through. Had some good footage, even if it was rough cut. Thats about it. I'll be glad if it comes out, but Hine's if you're reading this? This is yet another supporter you lost. Warnings were given and all you had to give in return were more broken promises and that was it. Nothing to see here people, move along.

[glow=purple,2,300]Boy, do I feel like my visage is well and truly smothered in a combination of albumen and yolk! I don't know, you support these people, and they can't even give you a definite release date, or even give us a progress report or updated visuals.
I couldn't care less anymore. Once it's available for preorder (and actually FRP confirmed) I'll order it and wait till it arrives - give me a nice surprise if it does! [/glow]

Hmmmmmm, I see not much has happened since being away.
'Coming soon', would that be the same coming soon we have been hearing about the ruddy film. By the time this damn film comes out, DVD players will be a thing of the past.

Heh, by the time this movie comes out, people will be complaining why it isn't as authentic as that original movie by Spielberg

I've given up waiting for this movie as well. I was hanging in the background, watching the forums, keeping an eye on what Pendragon were doing (or not doing as the case may be).
It would be nice if they cared a small bit about their fans as some fans have cared about this movie. If Hines was having trouble with distibutors, with Paramount, or with the Martians themselves... the public and fans have a right to know. We're going to be spending our hard-earned money on this film, and for those of us with limited budgets, I'll be standing at the Video store going "Pendragon or Pal"
Although with all the problems surrounding PP's version, I may not even get to do that...

Both the Speilberg and the Wayne version will be having their 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVDs (or whatever the hell format they will in the future) before the Pendragon film sees the light of day.
