Its a complete joke >:(this film is dead , the website surely doesn't take 3/4 weeks to amend , it's complete and utter rubbish ... ok If it is going stright on DVD then why the heck can't a message be posted saying so....all this silence is not good seems like this film has gone the way of the thunderchild, stright to the bottom never to be seen again.

Im really am quite angry now with Pendragon. I support them as much as i can, and i dont even have the decency to reply to any of my emails.
To be honest, i think it may have turned into an abandoned project, as you get with some films.

I'm completely unfamiliar with this film making malarky. That's an awful lot of money to spend on something that never sees the light of day. I'm sure it happens all the time though. The fact that it was supposed to be such a labour of love makes this all seem so much worse.

No, to be fair they did show 'Bug Wars' at Cannes - apparently (and I'd love to have seen the Cannesites' reaction - probably rather like the initial audience reaction to 'Springtime for Hitler' in 'The Producers'). But what happened to 'Chrome'? Naff all. I lost confidence in PP months ago, and nothing yet has disabused me of the wisdom of that position.

Anthony, you almost made me laugh out loud there with what you wrote. Does that mean that you were so fed up with Pendragons lack of response before now, that you had resorted to replying to your OWN emails yourself, but now you are even more disgusted at them, even that has ceased? I mean if you can't be bothered to reply to your own emails as you say, then I guess it must be getting bad! ;D

"I'm sure it happens all the time though." Yup. 12 Million bucks is a lot to you and me but is next to nothing in terms of feature film making. It costs easily that much to distribute and have a halfway decent marketing campaign for a theatrical release for a film. That is why you have so many straight to DVD films each year: they stand so little chance of making their money back in a theatrical run that no one wants to distribute them.
"The term is 'development hell' " Actually, no. The Development stage of a film is the stage of getting the final script in shape and finding somebody who is actually willling to finance the film. Once you start filming you are out of development Hell. WOTW seems to be in Post Production hell:Pendragon has a film that looks so bad in quality that no one wants to take a chance on releasing it.Probably with good reason.
Anybody with any knowledge of the film business whether in production or working for a theater chain knew a long time ago that we were dealing with amateurs here. Anybody who thinks the film is going to be in theaters anytime soon, let alone March 30th, needs a reality check.

"I'm sure it happens all the time though." Yup. 12 Million bucks is a lot to you and me but is next to nothing in terms of feature film making. <snip> Pendragon has a film that looks so bad in quality that no one wants to take a chance on releasing it. Probably with good reason. Well here's the Big Lie again, which has been repeated so often that it's not even being questioned anymore. Generally speaking, films which finish principal production are eventually finished. Pendragon's WotW has finished principal production. It may be that Pendragon has gotten stuck in post-production; that's an increasing problem these days with CGI-heavy films. Even "Return of the King" had a problem finishing all its CGI work in time for its announced release date. Just as likely is the possibility that film distributors refused to touch the film because they didn't want to risk the ire of Paramount. The Forbes article made it clear that was a real concern for distributors. It's just not reasonable to assume that no distributor was willing to touch the film because it was so bad. Horror films, even low-budget horror films, always attract an audience. And it's clear that Hines is approaching this as a horror film. I'm still hoping this film will receive a limited art house distribution (probably not starting March 30 tho), but if it's just straight to DVD then I'll certainly buy one.

Hopefully it will at least get a DVD release, because I for one am pretty damn keen on seeing it!
I've seen some really crap horror films in my time, so there's no reason why they shouldn't release this one, especially with the name that it's got...

Hi everyone - I'm new to this website but I love your views. I absolutely agree with you on this - why has Pendragon not informed us of their developments? Surely, something should have been posted on their site by now. I, like the rest of you, was anticipating this version with some degree of excitement ... but no news and no replies! If something isn't announced soon then Mr Hines may begin to feel the pinch from his fans and critics. After all, they did announce the release date.

[glow=purple,2,300]If that was the case, how come some of the big distributors are still releasing some of the worst sh1te in history into the cinemas?
We don't know the actual reasons, only rumours and assumptions, so stop harping on about it.
For my part, I've supported Pendragons version all along, and I'm annoyed at the lack of info and updates. Still, I'm hoping the DVD will still be released. If it's bad - well, some films are so bad they're great fun.
So, C'mon Tim, pull yer finger out and give us some info. Give Charles a bell and let him know the state of play. If you can give interviews about DVD releases, you can let us know officially. We've given you a lot of support, and come in for a lot of ridicule (and probably will come in for more after this post). Now it's time for you to give us something back - Progress please!! [/glow]

I am getting rather worried too. Looked at DVD sites and shops, none of them are even aware of the movie plus I looked at local cinema sites and they too are not even aware that it has been made.

[glow=purple,2,300]I've been trying at the UAV (the alleged DVD distributor) website www.uavco.com/products/video.html, and here's where you should be able to order it: www.uavbuy.com/Well, this ain't promising. UAVBuy.com sez:[/glow] [glow=purple,2,300]Their other online shop (EnterMagic.com) sez the same thing. So, keep checking your favourite retail outlet sites for it!! Anyone know specifically who UAVs retail accounts are with? [/glow]

It's just not reasonable to assume that no distributor was willing to touch the film because it was so bad. Horror films, even low-budget horror films, always attract an audience. And it's clear that Hines is approaching this as a horror film. Yes it is, it looks bad, it feels bad, it is possible its just that bad that nobody wants to touch it, on that note someone did touch it, a DVD distributer that only distributes crap films. Even a low budget horror has a core audience, but there is a limit to how bad it can get before its just ridiculous. I'm still hoping this film will receive a limited art house distribution (probably not starting March 30 tho), but if it's just straight to DVD then I'll certainly buy one. HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA MORE FOOL YOU!!!! HAHAHAH! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D This film is NOT going to be in any cinemas. No amount of blind hopw will make it so. The DVD is garanteed but wont be worth a damn other than the curiosity factor of wanting to see this famous travesty at least once, just for fun.

Awwwe come on Ashe, it was fun, humour, this section needs a little light heartedness as its getting dark and stale, also I did think it was very funny, its 'out' in six days and old lensys still hoping for an art house release, and statements about wanting to buy it on DVD rather than borrow/download it is also very funny, anyone who does buy it make sure you keep the recipt!
In fact the title of this thread is very funny, it does leave the question what has pendragon done since the last 'trailer' ( ;D) to warrant any support....?

[glow=purple,2,300]Absolutely b*ggery sod all, hence this thread to tell 'em to give us something! Methinks Tim has been investing the budget in silver topped canes, flowing capes and styling gel. Even now, he's waxing his hastily grown moustachios into style, twirling them as he strides amongst the green glow of his electricity FX, cackling evilly. "Mwhahahaha. My film lies on the cutting room floor and no-one will get to see it. I belong dead!" he cries, as he pulls his lever (fnarr fnarr). Life flows into the movie, "It lives! My masterpiece alive!!". The monstrous film arises from it's bed, and goes forth in search of distribution. The fanfolk take to the streets, bearing their torches of flame - "This monstrosity is not natural - it is an abomination against Wells!". Hounded into the UAV windmill, it is flamed by the fanfolk, and as the windmill collapses in on itself, the movie is lost under the pyre of low-budget tat. So endeth FrankenHines monster. [/glow]
