Guys, Nerfy has already been on and warned about threads like this being locked and offenders punished, lets try and stop the bickering and personal insults and just get on with talking bout war of the worlds. If you dont agree with sumone then fine but there is no need to turn the whole thread into a flame war since then people who WANT to post sensibly can not do so. Responding to a provocative post is almost sa bad as posting one in the first place. Anyways, on topic i agree that the lack of news is disturbing and its looking increasingly likely that the release date wont be made, however i suppose that until march the 30th has come and gone with no movie I will hold my judgement on it

Mote, if you can't tell the difference between "fact" and "my interpretation," then there's no point in continuing. I won't even attempt to argue in a situation like that. By the way, little jabs like "keep your pantys { sic} on" are one of the reasons people take offense to some of your posts, as I have just now. I have no doubt you'll rationalize that as our(my) problem, too, but I'll point it out, in the same spirit in which you intended it in the first place. Here we go again, like a fair ground ride I just cant bring myself to get off. We as individuals will interprate the information before us into either true (fact) untrue (not fact) or unknown, it was my interpretation of the information given to us by PP thus far that the effects were bellow standards needed to qualify this film for the cinema, in my mind this was true (fact) to my mind this film will not be a world wide release on March 30th, that is true (fact) and no amount of blind hope and reasoning will make it otherwise. These are things based on my own interpretation and until new information comes along to change these views I will treat them as fact. The problem with your own logic is that your basing is on hope and unknowns, like "wait and see" thats all well and good but I would rather base my opinions on knowns and leave them open to change when hopefully I am proven wrong. I apologise for the panty remark, it was in good humour and meant no offence.

I think we may be getting close to that line. You will notice that man has the capacity to sort out his own problems and thread problems should be left to sort themselves (most of the time they will) out until they degrade to the point of ne return, thats when a mod should step in. I have seen nothing of late to justify mad action however I have noticed that the loudest squeeky wheels are the guys that complain about the threads, its usualy the preachers who make things seem a lot worse that they realy are. With that said if anyone has mistakenly taken offence with anything I have posted I apologise whole heartedly.

Free speech won't be going out of the window so long as the board rules, which are all very reasonable, are kept to. The rules are here, as am I and the other mods, to protect the site and it's members, both present and future. There are some things that we cannot allow for reasons that really should be obvious to all. Unfortunately, some people are now feeling unable to participate in some threads because they fear flaming or ridicule. And it's not just the 'usual suspects'. I'd hate to think what visitors to the site think about some of this. Obviously, we can't allow the status quo to continue. All it needs is a little more consideration before posting on people's parts and things will improve a great deal. I think you'll find the moderating team are quite capable of knowing when to step in and when to let things run their course. Anyway, dragging up any past problems is pointless. As I said earlier, I'd like us all to make a fresh start.
