Hi Guys
I have just contacted my local art house cinema the '051' if anyone will be playing war of the worlds or its trailers it will be them (around here anyway) and im sorry to say they havent even heard of it or Pendragon Pictures.
I asked when they would have to hear from a distributer for an April release he said January or February but for the trailers they would be partnered with other films so would arrive with new films but there is nothing like that attached to the films they are showing in the next two months.
I asked about Spielbergs film, he knew all about that and said the trailer was going to be attached to a film being shown in May at that cinema (they are not showing the movie at all) but other main stream cineams would be showing it earlier as they have more films to show.
I have been checking every cinema website I can find in any country and only Spielbergs war of the worlds is showing up as coming soon.
I was wondering if you guys could contact your local cinema/art house cinema just to see if they know anything, if its out anywhere in April someone should know something somewhere by now.
All the best
Eddie

Unfortunately for us in the UK, we don't even know if it will be released here in March. There are rumours of 'worldwide release' from Pendragon but nothing concrete, and that's our main worry.
As Pendragon's based in Seattle, I would expect some kind of showing there on 30 March, but elsewhere... Who knows! There is a thread that mentioned about a 'premier' of sorts in Woking, but I can't remember if it was confirmed (and can't be bothered to trawl through the past posts!)

Come on people, it's just not going to happen. Certainly not on the date Pendragon Pictures have given. Maybe it will appear one day but I very much doubt it will be in the cinema and I equally doubt it will be March.

Like I mentioned before...."Sci-Fi Original" on the Sci-Fi channel. I wouldn't be suprised if it hit the channel in autumn.

I sent Pendragon an email yesterday regarding progress and where it will be screened on March 30th. I am still awaiting a reply.

"I asked when they would have to hear from a distributer for an April release he said January or February " Any Theater manager will tell you that you need at least a two or three month lead to get a film in theaters. I have been a Theater manager, and this is why I have written off the March 30th date. And you really want more time then that for marketing and advertising purposes.

I wouldn't mind Mr. Hines movie beeing delayed if that would mean the end result is going to better, but I do hope if - IF!!! - that will be the case (no comfirmation as of yet) Mr. Hines will announce it in time, not at the eleventh hour.
But it is hard to tell exactly what is going on behind the scenes at Pendragon. It could be that a lot of the, let's call it secretcy, is due to the competition and/or part of some marketing plan Mr. Hines and Pendragon has put up.
Only thing we can really do is hang on tight.

Sorry, Im confused, it doesn't take much. The UK people are worried abt release here? I had read that Pendragon is a UK company. Probably wrong but I could have sworn that was it and that most of the film was shot on location here in sunny England. If that is the case, please correct me if Im wrong, but wont we get it first for once, if at all.

Pendragon is a Seattle company, most of the actors are Americans, the SFX are being done in America the director is American, we Brits didnt have too much to do with it. I've just found out it was mostly filmed in Washington too. If its out anywhere it will be in the US and we will have to import the DVD.

Well it is set in 1897 England so some might call it an English rival as aposed to Spielbergs American set film.

Back in 2002 when I first heard about the PP film before their site got its revamp, they made it sound as though Chrome was almost finished then. Not that it is a film I want to see.

Chrome was meant for release in 2003 but no distributer was found. It is assumed on these boards that they have shelved Chrome for a later DVD release until after WOTW has been released for better exposure.
