Topaz, I agree with you. I think we're simply watching Pendragon's lack of experience and lack of muscle. And yes, I think Ash is right about the double-standard thing. Best, Quaderni Hi quaderni I dont thinks its double standards, I see what your saying about experiance and I agree but Asheravens comment about double standards is a little erm...illogical. Its a forgone conclusion that the Paramount film will be out and it will be in your local cinema when they say it will be and friday night will be full to the brim so its not realy fair saying we dont know that when common sense tells us we do, Pendragon has lost a little credability with some of the things they have said so thats adding to a situation that does not resemble that of a film being released, including no other dates or places of release, this should be common knowledge by now. Anywho, only Pendragon people know Pendragon buisness so im not going to pontificate about that will it wont it stuff, but I do have my fingers crossed.

We've had three trailers, countelss images, cast diaries and even personal e-mails sent to the various major websites. We;ve page long artcles on the project and even one or two website interveiws. hell we even got to see a rendering of the Handling Machine
All we have from SS is some sketchy iteviews that say nothing, countless images of Tom Cruise and 2 teaser trailers thatso far have shown nothing but special effects. And no hint of the fighting machines as yet.
Not that SS's efforts are anything to frown at, but short of actually relasing the film, theirs nothing else Hines can really do, except keep us informed. That maybe lacking, but how much do you want him to give away, before all the magic is lost? I fail to see the lack of logic in that aurgument.

Sorry Asheraven my mistake, I was under the impression we were talking about the release information, not actual movie details. In that respect they may have released too much.
They were going to have the problem of releasing too much anyway as we all have the exact plot and script on our shelves.

How much 'magic' can you have when we have all read the book, we know every scene inside and out, how can Hines give us too much? He cant exactly spoil the plot can he? SS on the otherhand we dont know anything much about his film so the more he gives away the more you find out about the plot and you do start to loose the 'magic'. Admittedly Hines has given the fans more -(although if you were to compile all the stuff released by both you may be suprised)- but its been a policy of "quantity not quality".

Hi the_motile,
I think what Asheraven was saying was that some guys are asking why we havent had more information from Pendragon but they have already released just as much if not more than a 'normal' film production like Mr Spielbergs project, so Asheravens point was quite valid that to ask for more from Pendragon than we ask of Paramount is a bit unfair.
But I see what your saying and I agree.
The question of more information in regards to release dates and area information is a different matter and is also valid, in this respect Pendragon Pictures a lagging behind in that respect.
Come on Pendragon! If you dont tell us when and where its out we cant go see it!!

Come on Pendragon! If you dont tell us when and where its out we cant go see it!! Whatever Motile says, thats the bottom line everybody happens to agree on. But I also note Hines has not backdown from his March 3oth claim, so who are we to assume th worst. Even small films make it to the cinemas, geez, 2 screeners haver to show something in the quiet march periods :/

Hi Asheraven!
Sorry my new friend I dont want to sound full of my self.
With respect can I just point out a tiny little thing, if you want peace on the board, as you say you do, is it not logical and wise not to make comments designed to inflame the more flammable among us? You and motile seem to have this little thing going thats pretty uncool. I dont think from reading motiles post that hes saying anything about anybody including you, he simply seems to have firm opinions, I may not agree with all of them and I rushed to your defence earlier, but it was all nice and calm and we respected each other, so I dont see the reason for posting a statement like you did about someone else.
On a brighter note your absolutely right! Mr. Hines has not removed the March 30th release date which could be quite positive.

Let me comment also. Ashe, we've spoken through PM and both stand behind Mr. Hines' project. But what I have seen from Motile's post, he does also, allthough he is much more sceptical about it. But he still wants this movie to succeed. Agreed, some of his comments are far-fetched, but he is not hating the movie and trying to tear Mr. Hines down. He's no Spielberg troll. Ashe, I think you should try to lighten up a bit (no offense) in regards to Motile. In reality, he is on our side, he wants to see a fantastic adaption. But he is cautious, based on his views on the material allready released.

Wow thanks Gnorn, heatray, I was starting to loose faith in the board, I was getting a little paranoid about how people were taking my posts, like "motile" was becoming a dirty word. I have never ever wanted to cause offence or argument, I am guilty of poking fun at PP and Tim but thats just mt sense of humour. I realy wanted this film to be "the one", I just cant bring myself to believe it is after all we have seen, I want to be proven wrong.
So, what do you say Ashe? Friends?

No, everything being cool and happy is more than enough, nobody needs that false huggy stuff, it makes any peace treaty itself 'unreal'.
