Exactly its the name of the game, these guys tell lies for a living, thats what a movie is, a giant lie and the trick is getting us to believe it for time we are in the cinema, so its easy for these guys to wander from reality from time to time.
Hines has told some propper porkies though.

What about the Paramount / Spielberg camp exclaiming their version is to be the most expensive movie ever made and will the blockbuster movie of this decade? Suuure... Whatever that means!

That claim was made by the media, SS said it was going to be the best film he has ever made, the golden star of his career, the media took that to mean biggest budget.
At the end of the day they are all bullsh*tters, its the name of the game.

Mr. Hines didn't do much worse when stating Piana was the next Pachino. Like you say in your last line. So give Mr. Hines some slack. He's not the only one exagarating(sp) things. -Gnorn

Come on now Gnorn I have been a lot worse than this, in my own way I may poke Hines but I do it along side SS, I am not singling him out. I find it interesting though that some guys right off SS on nothing but assumptions but demand we cut Hines some slack, why do they deserve different treatment I wonder?

if SS was doing an accurate version, i'd be behind him 100%. there are reasons why some of us tend to be cynical about the SS project
its not just "SS vs Hines, who are you for"?

I was refering to Cylinder amongst others, not you. That's why I included "Like you say in your last line." in my post. Maybe I was not clear? :-) For what about your comments on Mr. Hines movie, I understand those. Allthough I do not allways agree. But I understand where those are coming from. Cheers! -Gnorn

Off topic to Motile: Is there a photo of the Martian Tripod that is on display in Woking somewhere on the Web? There should be; It is probably Woking's one great claim to fame.... ;D
As for playing in Woking, the way things are going the Pendragon film will be playing for maybe one day in a theater in London which usually shows black and white films from Bulgaria....
