If you put your cursor on Pendragons HG WELLS W.O.T.WORLDS logo - that shot of the handling machine now appears.

You know motile Im still trying to respect you after your Die! Hines! Die!!! outburst. Dont make it harder. Lighten up dude, humour is free, get yourself some I stand by that die hines thing by the way, he took a good chance and flushed it down the toilet while promissing the world to the fans, now that YOU bring it up. I didnt mean it in a literal sense either ofcourse but rather for his career, I hope he never gets hold of another classic and poops all over that too. Anyhoo I agreed not to say those things anymore so bad maniacs for making me revert to anti pendragon mode! To be honest your post showed immence arrogance on your part, your still trying to repect me? Oh thank you sir thank you!
Bollocks, I thought that was funny and I didnt care if you would find it funny, just as I still don't! Thats about the short of it.

Its not arrogance Motile, Im a up front guy with many sensitivities. Its a nutsty world and I've read a story this week that makes me want to weep but as a guy I can't. I dont disrespect you for hating Hines attempts. Its your right to have those feelings but they were strong words(what you said about Hines) and no human should be saying that about another, part from one or two I could think of. We all know your dissapointed and seem to be taking it harder than any of us.
I never expected LOTR(a brilliant film!) but If Hines releases it it'll be sweet! Right now I would settle for a BBC production play equiv. So wait and see now, then decide. It'll be out one day...sigh...one day maybe.
nutsty!!! I did not say nutsty!!! I said nutsty!!! Dammit!!! For f**ks sake!!! Noooooooooo!!! Damn editor, what the f**k does it think its....

Look if Hines is ill then I do wish him the best for his health, but to shed tears for a guy I have never met seem a little false, im just talking about me by the way.
But I take it your on about Hines's cancer report? I take that with a pinch of salt, a recent pic of hines showes him to be the picture of health, the report you read was from 2002, either he has bounced back or the reprt had it wrong either way its all good. Even if its true it has no bearing on this project at all and cant be used as an excuse, it take a lot of people to make a movie he wasnt all by himself.
I reacted very strongly after the last trailer, holy cow I was devastated, and thats an understatment. I wasn expecting mind blowing SFX given the size of Pendragon but I wasnt expecting that trailer, I just could not justify it in any way, I knew Hines had made the trailer as he was doing the editing himself so I wanted my feelings known, he should never work in movies again. But I have aged since then and agreed to wait for you all to see this movie....eventualy and to make my mind up then.
But I ask a serious question that has none of my own oinion involved: How bad will this film have to be in order for any of you to bin it and mentaly disassotiate from the war of the worlds?

LOL
very bad, matey! at least in my case. I would have settled for a hammer house version from 1962!!!
I was not refering to his cancer report when I said about the story erm weeping etc etc Lifes a big itch and that is it!
It was the holocaust rememberance week and even after all Ive read about WW2 previosly, a new story of how evil people can be seems to emerge. Thats why I thought your original words were an over reaction. Because it is just a film.
Would you honestly shoot him for it? Im not saying you said that. Nor am I saying your a Nazi. It think this world seriously needs an attitude overhual. Just you did wish him dead!!!

LOL Yeah I did didnt I? I remeber that first reaction, strange one that, like anger and diapointment condensed into a terrable broth of hatred that ended with me typing the words die hines die!
Oh well there you have it, did I mean it? I think you know I didnt, not in a literal sense. I wasnt thinking of his career when I wrote it though, it was the sound of steam venting and thats the noise it made at that time. But after that I wanted Hines never to make a movie again. Now we are further along on this story of ours and agreements have been made, so I sit back, calm and collected waiting for its release, and I also root for the guys who have supported this thing from the beggining, they're loyalty to pendragon has been quite admirable.
Answering my own question it seems to be already worse than I am willing to accept, but as I have not seen the movie I cant tell yet but at the moment nothing released by Pendragon is remotely good enough, I dont care about SFX, its the general stuff, editing, timing, quality, shot angles, it all seems so unreal and amaturish that I dont hold out much hope for the final production. Thats not to say there isnt 'any' hope, there is, the HM was promissing design wise.
I apologise to little Timmy for wishing him dead, Hinesy I didnt mean it dude, I just hope you get someone else to do the editing.

Its not been swimmingly well has it and I have admitted it would have to be really bad. There are some good points you know. Time Hines does seem to have some grasp of artistic basics and I hope someone does shake him and say
"For christ sake I'll do it for you!" (when it comes to film matters)
We shall see...

lol Maniacs, is it you goal to star WWIII with every member on this board that doesnt share your views?
No matter, I like the fact that the Handling machine shows up now, that woman in red screaming never made any sense to me, and if you ask me that Handling machine looks ace.
(BTW The WWIII Thing was just a joke, don't hurt me Maniacs)

As Ive said I dont disrespect motile for his views just his one time over reaction which is aware of.

You know - I actually agree with much that RustiSwordz has said about this project. I remember how heartbroken I was when I saw the trailer and heard echoes of Tim hines in my mind saying, "the effects will be state of the art". I've come to accept this "misinformation" on his part. But what upsets me now is Rusti's diminished number of posts on this board. Oh how I love that pic of Gillian Anderson!

It was like when he said Anthony Piana was the new De Niro. Hines don't half spout a lot of bobbins.

Malf, you know exactly what cylinder meant so why try putting him down with a sly post because you cant defend Tims inacuracy's, after all we are not the ones in a seattle winebar with Bill Gates and 40 million quid in our back pockets are we. Hines has told fibs, full stop. However if we were in his shoes and we knew it was substandard stuff we were churning out we too may have told fibs to keep up the enthusiasm, kind of like stoking a dying fire.

Some directors do that. I remember Steven Speilberg describing some guy as the new James Dean and then we heard hardly anything of him.
