Bit of a coincidence [ nearly missed it ]!

So there I am on my computer about 20 minutes ago [ it's about 4.05 a.m now ] and I switch on my radio to listen to the Ian Collins overnight show through my headphones [ it's usually set on TalkSport as it's just about the only radio station I listen to ].

No sooner had I put the headphones on when I heard the host Ian Collins say............."coming up we have an interview with Jeff Wayne" Bearing in mind I didn't know Jeff Wayne was to be on the show.

Talk about coincidence - I almost missed it!" I also by pure luck had a tape in and managed to record it.

That section of the show usually deals with the latest film releases and dvds so predictably he talked in part about the dvd of the concert. I've never heard him speaking before but he sounds a bit like Ray Haryhausen. No big revelations but I'll listen to it again tomorrow and post anything of interest. I had to laugh - Ian Collins also mentioned Spielbergs film before the interview and said "a lot of people didn't like it".

Sorry matey, this is nothing new. It was an old interview that Jeff did a month ago. Im suprised you didn't see it advertised as it's been talked about on the sites. He obviously replayed the tape back. I don't think Jeff would be that keen on talking on radio at 4am - not many people about other than truckers - 10/4 there good buddy

I'm aware of that interview [ even though I haven't listened to it yet ] but I think this might possibly be a new one. It was recorded yes and not live - but it was an interview with TalkSports 'own' late night film critic - Ambrose Heron. I don't think it was a playback from another radio station as he says "many thanks Ambrose - all the best at the end" and I can't imagine TalkSport using or being allowed to use some other radio stations interview. Ambrose also says the dvd is out this week.
