Will it include Richard Burton's original narration?
Who will be providing the other voices?

Well.. there will apparently be some narration yes. Obviously because the events will be portrayed visually, not all the album narration will be required though. The film will be based around the book story and feature Jeff's music as the soundtrack, rather than it being a pictorial version of the album, if you understand the difference. We don't know any more than that currently as the film is still in it's early stages. Any further news will be posted as we get it.

To follow on from Nerfys posting, some of the original album cast members have been aproached regarding the film version and Ollie Record Productions (ORP) are licensed to use Richard Burtons narration, but as Nerfy points out, the film is a visual so we will not see the extent of narration used in the film as used in the album.

Local ant counciller Norman Ant said "We think this is a disgrace, they have lived there for many months and now they are nestless". Also in todays ant news, a Mrs Antkins from Antlorpes has won the £1 million Antlottery. She will be sharing the winnings with her husband and 1000 off springs

I'd say narration will be used for:
Opening (No one would have belived...)
Masacre of Mankind speech Ending of the first disc "The dawn was a brilliant fiery red" speech perhaps? Dead London (probably the entire thing wich will add the feel of lonelyness as the person is "saying" this to himself).
That's my tuppence worth!

Even if they don't use Burtons narration all the way through - I hope they at least use the "No one would have believed" intro by him at the beginning - or near the beginning of the film.

"Empire Of the Ants" is one of HG Wells best short stories...espicially the last sentence. Two Best Ant Movies :"Them" (Mutated Giant Ants attack LA )and "The Naked Jungle".(A plantation owner in South America battles a horde of Soldier ants thretening his plantation). Both good flicks. COme to think of it. "Naked Jungle" was produced by George Pal, his first film right after the 53 WOTW.

[glow=purple,2,300]I really hate those s*dding ants on the Post Office adverts. Teeny bl**dy ants - and they OWN A HOUSE! Anthills not good enough, oh no, AND they use full size TELEPHONES! I mean, how realistic is that? 'bout as realistic as the Royal Mail postal service, that's what![/glow]
