Hi,
I'm currently working on a Tripod modelled after Alvim Correa's vision(s). As you'll know, there usually are a number of differences from one of his illustrations to the other and I'd like to know what you think about the 'basket' used to carry human 'victims'. How would you represent it, if at all?

Thanks for that link, McTodd. I had seen this pic and it does indeed show some kind of 'bag' at the back of the 'turret'. However, other illustrations by Correa - well, at least one - show a more 'cylindrical' object, possibly more akin to Wells' 'basket'...

Chantale, in case you've not seen the others on Dr Zeus's site, you'll love this page (scroll around two-thirds of the way down): drzeus.best.vwh.net/wotw/illus/interior.htmlPlus this great poster: drzeus.best.vwh.net/wotw/other/correa_poster.jpgDjmodels1999, I think I know the picture you mean, but you maybe shouldn't worry too much about that. Correa's drawings are not terribly consistent - around half show a cylindrical object with ribs, or flanges, going around it protruding from the bottom of the main body; and half don't.

I love how the tripods look like they have huge beady human like eyes.. it's very creepy.
