here is a tripod that I have been working on. It's obviously heavily influenced by the Spielberg movie. Comments and suggestions welcomed www.ahauntedgallery.com/wotw.html

Lovely jubbly!
What's the translucent curved shell you've used to cover the body with, by the way?

the shell is from a easter egg that was split horizontal. I cut away to make the profile. The legs will be about 12 inches high. I'm going to be lazy and use the tubes in the length that they com in. I may still add more to the feet, and also add a 'knee' somewhere along the main leg. added some pictures of the leg parts and also the detailing to the underside of the cowl and some on the hips www.ahauntedgallery.com/wotw.html

That's some great model building, I'd love to know what paint finish you're going to use.

Top notch, Dewberry!
Hope for some nice 'forced perspective' photos when it's done. Looming over skylines, and maybe lego, when it's done!

I still really undecided on color scheme. I know I DON"T want a metallic look like the Spielberg tripod....altho maybe a dull reddish almost rust color?...

Welcome to the forum, Dewberry! Great looking model you got going there! Quite an interesting assortment of parts (prefab and custom) you've skillfully put together.
Very nice work! I look foward to seeing it finished!

last update for today. It's getting close! now I just have to paint the sucker. I have some ideas for coloring. AND I'm happy that the legs will remain removable so that I can transport this monster around. Finally got around to measuring it. With everything attached its 19 inches tall. whoohoo! www.ahauntedgallery.com/wotw2.html

If this were made into a kit, would anyone be interested. I've been asked, just trying to gauge if it would be worthwhile?

I'd be interested.
Of course that would depend on the price - whether I could afford it or not. Still though, with a set of instructions I think it would go down quite well.
