Awesome, but it needs bones and tubes if it is truly Geigerian, like Donal said.

Very nice! But yes, bones and tubes.
And also...all you really need to do is render a gunmetal penis on three legs to do the Geiger tripod. j/k.

I posted this on another 3d forum as well and it's been getting a lot of less than savoury comments about it not looking "Giger enough" because it doesn't have an overtly sexual nature, breasts or whatever... Well it is only "Giger Inspired" it's not a direct copy of the guys work, and you have to take into account the fact that the creatures who designed this fighting machine don't have the same sexual reproductive organs that we do. So making a design that has visible references to human sexuality wouldn't fit too well with the design philosophy of the martians themselves. And since we don't know what the Martians reproductive organs look like, use your imagination and pretend that they are displayed all over the tripod for everyone to see That said, I've been working a lil on the legs and got a couple more sections added, I'll post the pictures later

Martialns didnt reproduce via male and female reproduction, they were a-sexual

It's looking very good- cheers for the tip by the way, but as a Mac owner, even WiMP doesn't easily do the job....

This is a fantastic Tripod - I would love to have permission to include it in my film but instead I've ended up with something that looks like an insect. Plus a lot of post prod work on the Tripods has been completed and I don't fancy doing it all again. Chris
