I am thinking of making a piccy / montage consisting of a scan of a warship and tripod
How does the copyright law effect this ... the warship is out of a book (cos i cannot be bothered to draw one meself ...only kidding ..it is an excellent piccy and would look really good is a scene)
Would Rob get into bother having such images on his website , bearing in mind it wouldn;t have been put on the net before, unlike some of the other image/book covers we have seen... it would be totally new.

Is it an old book? You can give it a go but, if you can, credit the photographer when you post it. If we're asked to take it down then it'll have to go.. If not it stays. Copyright law is tricky with fan art but the only real trouble you may have is if the image is intended to be used for personal financial gain. But then it wouldn't be, by definition, fan art would it?
