Take comfort in the fact knowing that I have been doing these for years - but this is the first one I feel even nearly confident in posting on the internet. And compared to some on this forum, it really is very c***. But thanks for the Compliment anyway Oliver

Nice work Mekanik89!
Only real criticism is the wobbly heat ray- you may be better off using the line too as opposed to freehand- I don't use Paint Shop, but you should be able to use the same brush effect.
Great composition though- using the tripod in the foreground looking over the scene. Like it a lot.
edit- the sense of scale is good too upon second viewing- the size of the tripod firing at the steamer is spot on. The superimposing isn't too bad either- the colours work well against the photo (something that can easily be done so badly)

[glow=red,2,300]I like it a lot except for the heat ray, otherwise great work! [/glow]

Excellent picture.
The heat ray I think was designed like that, it gives it an organic flow to it, think of it like the proton acceleraters from ghostbusters. Not straight as a die but fluctuating slightly.
Good effort I thought.
I wish I could do this sort of thing :/

Ok chaps:
Slick, yes it is based on the Ghost Busters Ray thingy, and yes Horsell the Steamer is the Waverley. It is berthed in glasgow so while I was up there last it was only natural for me to get a snap of it.
Another Picture on the way!
