Cor! I like!
Good job of keeping the martian in focus with its surroundings. I like the crumple effect on Big Ben too.
I wonder how the famous photo of St Paul's Dome amidst the blitz smoke would lend itself to martian manipulation malarky?
Welcome to the board Syrtismajor! And cheers for the pic!
Pete

like that one as well as you get the impression of the cannon going one on one with the FM!

Blimey! These look FAB!!! I recock if you took that London scene, gave it a bit of sepia, you could create a really good victorian newspaper frontsheet!
How are you creating these images - are you generating a 3D model and compositing it?
I once created a perfect Jeff Wayne Fighting Machine in Bryce 3D - took three months to build and a whole day to render, but boy it looked good! Then my s*dding PC went and crashed and I lost it! Since then, I can't be bothered putting the effort back in!!

I did them both entirely in Paint Shop pro 7. The top one is a composite of the houses of parliment and an Australian bush fire. The tripod is on of Michael Trims's sketches! The hard part was making the tower appear to 'crumble'. I did that by dotting coloured pixels about then blurring it (after altering the top angle). The second one is Epping forest, a Californian forest fire, a confederate cannon crew re-enactment, false shadows, a cannon flash and the tripod was from a rendering for the PC game. I tried Sepia on both but it shows up more how the tripods are incorrectly lighted. My next one will be a thunderchild pic, but is really hard to get good enough pics to use! This is as far as I can go and it already contains four images,, Thanks to everyone for the kind words!
