I know i am probably going to be booed out of here ;D, but i would like to see The Warlord of the Air by Michael Moorcock turned into a movie. As i have always been intrested in the adventures of Captain Oswald Bastable of the Royal Army.

Basicly Captain Bastable is stationed in India at the turn of the century, and in the process of his adventures he is thrown 70 years in the future, but not the one we know, as WW1 never occured, the cars are flash fired steam engines, monorails, and last but not least, the Air Battleships. In this history, heavier than air flight was never discovered, and in this future, instead of naval Battleships derermining your status, it is the air battleships, armored as well as a naval battleship, and as well armed. I won't tell anything else in case you find the book. In case you do not know who he is Michael Moorcock also wrote the Elric of Melibone saga.
Cheers Thorgrimm

Has no-one seen 'The history of Mr Polly'? It's not sci-fi but its nonetheless a good amusing little movie..It was made in the 1940's and starred John Mills as Mr.Polly

[glow=red,2,300]Well, now we know that Pendragon are doing an accurate version of the book, what else would everyone want to see filmed accurately!
Next on my list would be the Time Machine! [/glow]

It is really good; a nice adaptation, all in all. I think "The First Men in the Moon" is ripe for remaking, and a good "Invisible Man" (not that Whale's wasn't good itself). "The Time Machine" probably won't happen again until after 2016.

A hollywood updated wacky RomCom version of 'The History of Mr Polly' starring Jim Carrey as Mr P. and directed by Joel Schumaker..
Sorry, slip of the tongue there.. I meant to say, Time Machine, Invisible Man, First Men in the Moon, Dr Moreau. Oh, and I'd like to see a version of 'The war in the air'.

When the sleeper wakes/the sleeper awakes... Great story! A fine choice! Some critics argue this is the intellectual sequel to "Worlds." I find it a bit of a stretch, but it is fun to entertain the notion...

Er, yeah, "Bruce Almighty" was essentially a retelling of "The Man Who Could Work Miracles." Hollywood rips off Wells all the time, don't they? ;D

The Sea Raiders is one of his best short stories and scared me more than WOTW.

[glow=red,2,300]The sea raiders would be awesome! And The Sleeper Wakes... the one line mentioning martians seems to be the only WotW connection though.
How about The Crystal Egg? (please Mr Hines, do it as a short film extra on the DVD!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!)

I would like to see The Time Machine filmed. Yes, I know its already been done twice, with the 2nd one being the most horrible abomination of Wells' work translated to film since the 1950's version of WOTW. Why can't Hollywood make a decent book to movie translation? LOTR was about as close as they've ever come, and I still qualms with the whole Arwen story.
Anywho, yeah... The Time Machine, done accurately and just like the novel. And as a sequel, Stephen Baxters' The Time Ships (a sequel to The Time Machine and a damn good one too) would make an excellent follow up movie.
