The collectors edition is a glorious thing to own, but for those of us on a limited budget that want to hear some of those out-takes, I have found a website that will let you purchase lossless copies of the audio! I of course want lossless FLAC format (CD-DA) but you can also download MP3 versions (although I would strongly discourage that). I really want to hear the "Revisited" sections - discs 4, 5, and 6. This website I found will let you purchase and download selective tracks, or the whole thing. And plus if youve never heard these extras, theres 30-second previews on here too so you can get an idea at what youre missing out on by not having the box-set. Check it out, this might tide some people over until they can afford the whole thing, and get their hands on that DVD along with the SACD surround sound edition and all the other goodies in the box-set. music.allofmp3.com/mp3/The_War_Of_The_Worlds_(Collectors_Edition)/group_8076/mcatalog.shtml(ps I dont think that link is working, but type in the war of the worlds in the search on that site and you'll find it!)

Dunno if it's legal or not, but there are only five tracks there. And three of the five are marked "remix" or "revisited" which looks like they're not actually an album track anyway. A long way from the official album!

^^ I dont know where youre looking, but all track on all discs are available on that site. I dont know where youre seeing 5 tracks only but youre not looking where I was.

Oh, sorry, I thought the five listings each were individual tracks. I see now that when I click on any one of them, it brings up multiple tracks. The link above isn't really broken, it's just incompletely marked with a hyperlink. Copy-and-paste the entire thing into your browser's address field and you should be fine. However, it *would* be nice if more people used www.tinyurl.com to make those too-long URLs into shorter ones.

I didn't know about TinyURL before, I never knew there was anything you could do about really long URLs (other than cutting & pasting it into the browser). That'll come in damn useful.

Glad to be of service, McTodd!
I'm not sure where I saw a reference to <tinyurl.com>. Maybe on this forum, maybe elsewhere. There's also <www.makeashorterlink.com>, but they take you to their own site first and then after a wait redirect the user. This can be confusing, so I prefer <tinyurl.com>.
