Which Version Do You Prefere - 1978 Or 2005

Which album version of The War Of The Worlds do you prefere. We have the original 1978 release and then the 2005 remixed version. You will notice that the 1995 remastered version is not present, this is just a clearer version of the 1978.

I choose the 1978, this is the original version and the version I was grew up with, containing many fond memories. The 2005 release is fantastic, very up to date with sound, but it will never be as good as its original release of 78.

The 2005 version is great for hearing the album from a different perspective, but the original is the best IMO.

78' Version all the way even though I haven't listened to the new one yet.

I think the classic one will be the one that stays with us for ever. ;D

78 for me also ,as other people have said its probley the one you grew up with having played it about a million times anything changed sounds odd.

The '05 version for me. I really love the original, after all it is the original. But it was Jeffs intention to improve upon his original, this in my opinion he succeeded with.

2005 because for me its an improved sound, even though i grew up with the 78 version its really basically the same just slightly modified. No major changes.

I have to say the 1978 version, because it is the one I grew up with. However, I do also love the 2005 one... choosing was tough, so I went for the version that first introduced me to WotW ;D
