I've a couple o' Q's about the live tour. (The outcome is neither here nor there though - because I'm going anyway! ) What I'd like to know is: 1. How close to the album version will the music be? 2. How close to the album version will the narration/story/script be? 3. Is there an official Live site? Cheers.

Answers, 1. It's the album played live. As far as I'm aware (haven't seen it yet) there are few differences. 2. See above. The only difference is that there is a 'prologue' set on Mars. I must admit, I forgot to ask if they were actually going to use it or not (I was told that it was dependent on how well it worked in the rehearsals a while back). 3. No. Just the usual Official site www.thewaroftheworlds.com. Jeff wanted much of the content (FX, etc especially) to be a surprise for the people going so there is little online currently apart from some articles in the press.

Cheers!
So it's essentially the album played live, albeit with orchestra doing strings. YAY! I didn't want it to change much so I'm glad about that.
What about the vocals though - are they original - Lynott, Covington, Essex etc? Or are the new actors doing vocals?...

Justin Hayward and Chris Thompson are in. Jeff conducts, obviously, and there are a few of the original musicians in the 'Black Smoke Band'. Russell Watson plays Nathaniel, Tara Blaise plays Beth and Alexis James plays the Artilleryman. First reports indicate that they are all great (apart from Russell Watson who did himself an injury so wasn't on for the first show. His understudy was apparently very good, though).
