And question is - are the 2 eyes now like 2 balls [ oo-er missis! ] like they are on the album or have they just set the Hulks backside further into the machine - if ya know what I mean.
It's hard to tell from that photo. Anyone know?

They are much more like the originals and have the same 'compound-eye' texture.

Yes but the original is the Thunderchild paiting right? The one with the more rounded ball shap eyes that are out of the machine more. That is what I am getting at.

Well I don't know if 'the' original is that Thunderchild painting and I can sort of see what you mean as the eyes do stick out a bit in that painting - but don't forget - if you look through the artwork in the booklet the size of the eyes varies a bit anyway. The last painting with the birds shows the eyes looking almost flat and inset on the nearest fighting machine and the eyes of the handling machine are definitely set back into the body of the machine and don't stick out at all. One of the things I've always found a bit iffy with the Wayne/Trim tripods is the 2 bug eyes. I've read [ I think it was on this site ] an interview Mike Trim and he said that he originally had just the 1 eye. Having said that - judging from that photo and again it's hard to make out but the eyes do appear to look better than Envious Eyes first test shots. I'll reserve my full judgement though until I can see the machines clearly.

Is that the only photograph you've seen of the re-designed machines nerf? No, I've seen a few small clips of the CGI/live action footage that will be used in my capacity as an Admin on Jeff's site. They are stunning. Unfortunately, I have not been able to post images, etc (much as I'd have loved to) for obvious reasons. Put it this way, if the CGI to be used on the Tour is anything to go by, I feel very confident that the movie is going to be amazing.

The MFM, Flying Machine, Cylinder, Prequel walker (AKA Martian Taxi ) and Handling machine are all from the ENVIOUS EYES stuff and re-designed and animated by me. The eyes on all of them are the same as they were last year, but the texture is different, with them being darker around the edges. Sorry some of you feel they look like a hulks ass. You can't please all of the people all of the time. Needless to say, I think you will be very impressed with what you see at the show. My colleagues at Mediastation (who produced the visual content for the show) have done a great job in keeping the spirit of the Jeffs vision alive and kicking.
