The 4th of January 2006 marked the 20th anniversary of the sad passing of Phil Lynott... who we fans of JWMVoTWOTW remember so vividly as the voice of the Parson Nathaniel. The album would, undoubtedly, have been less without his distinctive performance, and his band 'Thin Lizzy' were an inspiration for many. Cheers, Phil!

A great man. The gentle giant with soul of a poet. A great singer, bassist, and wit too. Still sadly missed in the Thin Lizzy loving Rocka household. Sleep well, big man.

Phil was larger than life in many ways - yet as human as the rest of us. His talent was immense - and that is indisputable. He was the main reason (outside the fact the musical is based on H.G. Wells' work) I bought Jeff Wayne's album.
I'll never forget the day I learned of his death. I read about it in Thrasher Magazine (of all places) later that month...and right around the time of the Challenger disaster. Hard to believe all that was twenty years ago now. Where does time go???

He was a rock icon, a true rocker in all sense of the words.
He is missed by all.
