Coming this June 20th, and as apart of the 'Collectors Edition' of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds, there will be a '1' disc DVD presentation about the 'Making Of' the classic album, using much 'rare' footage, more clips from the development of the CGI film and a host of other items that you would expect on a DVD of this sort.
It is also hoping to be used in a different edited form as the base for a tv documentary.
With much thanks to Jeff Wayne/Sony BMG for the above information

Well, Horsell probably gonna be back from Milton Keyes soon, so answer me this...
Do you know if the documentary addresses why the story of WotW has been changed in certain areas? I'm curious as to what was the reasoning behind that.

Because the album logo reads 'Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds' and not 'H.G. Wells Version Of The War Of The Worlds'. If you purchase the 'Collectors Edition' Boxset which is avalable from 13th June, you will hear the remainder of the 60% of narration that was cut from the album. P.S - Im back from Milton Keynes if you have not gathered that already H_C

[glow=purple,2,300]A bit cheeky, but can you see if you can get a full listing of what will be on the DVD? I know in another thread you mentioned that only parts of the '78 promo will be in - be nice to know if the full video is on there.
And will Jeff be bunging in any Easter Eggs? I hope not, coz they p1ss me of big time! (RANT TIME COMING UP!) I mean, honestly, what's the point of DVD easter eggs, eh? Who's sad enough to want to spend hours pressing random combinations like up-up-left-ok-right-eject-play-down-down-menu on every link on every screen just to find you've spent hours finding something dissapointing that ain't worth the effort put into finding it? "Hours of fun for all the familiy" say the devotees of Easter Eggs, "Fun my bum!" sez I, "Hours of fun trying to work out how to have hours of fun, more like". If you're putting summat on a DVD, PUT IT WHERE I CAN FIND IT!
Be cool if he has animated menus though...[/glow]

Im on the understanding that only bits of the 78 promo will be featured in the DVD and not the full works, though you will see plenty of NEW footage from his test shots of the forth coming film.

Who's sad enough to want to spend hours pressing random combinations like up-up-left-ok-right-eject-play-down-down-menu You're sooo stupid! It goes like this: up-up-RIGHT-ok-LEFT-eject-play-down-down-menu See what you did wrong? Hence you didn't find it... -Gnorn

pfft amateur's eh No wonder he hates easter egg's. Its a shame the full promo won't be on the disc, but in the end at least we will be able to see some of it, which is better than nothing.

[glow=purple,2,300]Dammit - I always get my left & right mixed up! oh foolish fat fellow me. Looks like I shall have to invest in some Jimmy Cricket wellies to remind me where I'm going wrong! And there's more... Ha! Thankfully not nowadays! [/glow]
