I dont know if this question has been asked before, or if any one even knows the answer. I was just wondering why the booklet for the lp has different text to the one for the cd? The lyrics stayed the same but why didnt the text?

The 1978 booklets story is just abreviated. The album cost a huge amount of money back then and with having the extra added booklet and all the comissioned paintings inside (not many albums did that) I would guess it was saw best for the listener to take note of the albums story than the booklet.
The CD booklets from the time of the CD release just gives you something extra (eg: the complete albums story)

The 'New Files' CD (from 1995 with the bonus remixes) booklet that I have has a couple of extra concept drawings by Michael Trim (dated 1976!) and the cast bios are updated. Do the extra drawings appear in the standard CD version booklet, anyone?

No. . . . . Its just the full story as seen in the 95 remix and the 7 paintings with cast Bio at the rear.
Those Trim drawings (or schematics) have been turned into prints.

How much do you think an LP of it costs? I'm NEVER going to sell it I'm just curious. I have both LP records, the cover, the booklet (near perfect condition [just a few little creases etc], and another booklet with some stupid kid's drawing in it* *The front cover has been traced, you can see the marks. *There's a sort of 2 legged dog with big ears in the pic of the tripod over Big Ben. *There's a line over the tiny yaught in the Thunderchild picture. So?.. And by the way, I or no one I know drew those stupid pictures!!! That's why we got a perfect condition booklet from the boot sale! - Also have both Audio Tapes, with sleves, and It's still got the pull out bit which you can send off to order your huge booklet! - And the CDs with bookelt.. -- -- I'm just rambling on now aint I?

Yes you are lad Price wise, well, its worth what ever anyone is willing to pay. I have seen the album selling between £3 upto £25 in mint condition, and thats for the early CBS release (1978). Never take the advice of Ebay sellers, the one's who label the album as 'rare', that rare Jeffs sold over 12 million copies of it.

I wonder if the booklet with the forthcoming re-release will finally correct the mistake about the band Thin Lizzy? The booklet calls them a British band when they are in fact an Irish band. In fact, back in the 60s my Dad used to live around the corner from Phil Lynott.
