It would seem that all the new products will have the logo on.
Now what would make a yo-yo cool?, one that has a voice effect of 'Ulla' as its hurtles towards the ground to then zap you in the ankle with a mini Heat Ray. . . Now, thats cool!

On the yo-yo, it looks like there's something on the other side of it, is it possibly the Thunderchild picture?

Nah i think it's a picture of Jeff Wayne rolling around in a wheelbarrow full of money. What next..."Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds" toilet paper?, bog brush?, condoms?. Poor H.G.Wells. D.F.

I dunno, while i can understand the need for merchandising to help recoup the cost and not having a problem with Jeff making money, it's just i think a bit over the top esp the sheer amount of merchandise being released and the way it kinda tarnishes the memory of H.G.Wells classic novel. Oh and yep Speilburg will also flood the market with happy Martian meals so nothing new there then and yep i realise i don,t have to buy any of it...And aside from the box-set and whatever books, magazines that come out...I won't. Simple like me and just my opinion. D.F.

Ah, but what you got to remember is, someone out there will buy them. . . Quirky items. I have found that in the memorabilia buisness, you get the die hard fans (and no, not some guy in a white vest running around in a terrorist laden skyscraper who are looking to spend that X amount of money on that hard to find or Ltd Ed item. Then you have the other collector who does not have that much in his/her back pocket who's wants something but at a resonable price. Saying that, I have seen people turn there nose up at a pen priced at £1. . . 'Nowt more funnier than folk' - as they say. Its mainly fueled by programmes about collecting and 'antiques of the future'. H_C

I agree with D.F. there. Don't get wrong I like a bit of merchandise myself [ especially a diecast war machine etc ] but I think there should be some guarantee of the quality of merchandising like what P.Jackson did with LOTRINGS.
Nothing worse than walking in to your local Asda or Tescos and seeing JWaynes MVOTWOTW kids underwear or kids lunchboxes etc. I think it cheapens the whole thing.

It's only a kids yo-yo at the end of the day. If it's not your cup of tea, pass it bye.
