That is some very interesting footage. Some may say there satlilites, but not moving at those speeds, size and also they stop to observe.
This also reminds of the other NASA ffotage showing a object approach the earth and then sent fleeing as a rocket of some kind is deployed from the earth.

Even the government have very recently said there ARE UFOs. But they think they are atmospheric or something. It's pretty obvious that there are unknown objects up there but I don't know if they have aliens in them or there is some other explanation.

Err yeah i can imagine Military and civvy professional pilots saying a patch of swamp gas was holding formation with their aircraft at 30000 feet at mach plus speeds.

I certainly think that there are many things going on around us that we do not yet understand... and much reported UFO phenomenon (that which does not have a 'rational' explaination of any kind) could be in this category. What they actually are, though, is debatable.

No- I'm of the opinion that space is far to big for realistic chances of two intelligent, space-faring civilizations to meet. I'd like to believe, believe you me (for Peter Kay fans!)-but I really don't. I do love UFO stories though and the X-Files and all- they really capture my imagination having grown up with the likes of The War of the Worlds, Star Wars and with Skylab and the advent of the space shuttles.
Though I do believe that there are others out there. I think that the chances are that they are too far away for direct contact, or for any signals to pass the distance, civilizations lifespans could be millenia apart- that whole 'long time ago in a galaxy far, far away' thing- if we do get a message, it was probably sent so long ago that the originator is now, like the dinosaurs, extinct.
A shame really. I do look at the fragile state we live in and wonder at how probably even our life bearing planet is- if it had been even a few miles closer or further from the sun, if certain events in our solar system's birth had been different, we'd be just another of the millions of lifeless systems in the galaxy. Such an amazingly lucky coincidence- however, in a universe so big (practically infinitessimal), I suppose any possiblility can occur at least once. I hear now that the scientists believe our universe is a child borne of the last universe, but still can't get my head around how we're actually here at all- but I'll drop this train of thought now or I'll never sleep!
Edit- bearing in mind you mean by U.F.O's you mean craft carrying extra-terrestrials of course- I mean, any flying object you can't identify is technically an U.F.O

Ever heard of the phrase, 'truth stranger than fiction'
My uncle whos long dead now back between WWI and WW2 was out walking when he saw a huge silver object in a field, it shot up vertically into the sky then shot into space very very fast.
This was a simple man who wouldnt BullS' about such stuff in a time where such technology was but a dream.

Oh absolutely- and I'm happy to be proven otherwise- but I simply, personally, don't believe that 'people from another world' have visited us purely on the basis of what is standing against such a thing happening. Clearly we don't know everything about how the universe works and all, but still the chances are very remote (more than a million to one...)- however, so is the chance of the infinite improbability drive being invented! And also, some mathematicians have worked out on paper that a form of 'cloaking device' is, in fact, remotely possibly- though to build such a thing is currently beyond our engineering means. Most home technology is years behind the (often military) cutting edge- so it is very hard to say what one sees is 'not possibly with today's technology'. The absolute state of the art is often kept secret for simple fact of having an advantage- whether it's aircraft, medicine or computers.
I'll be happy to be proved wrong, but sad that so much cover up by governments is actually true (though I believe unquestioningly in the general gross dishonesty of any government). In a universe which gave rise to us, surely anything is possible. I just believe that we're yet to see it. And that's certainly not me casting aspersions on your uncle's word Rusti- just my own skepticism...

well i can only go by what he told me and taking into account that he did come from a time much simpler than ours. Fact is well never know the truth. I'm open minded, i look at the scientific evidence to suggest against such stuff but i feel its bad judgement to rule anything out.

Absolutely. Indeed- I'd love to see something that would make me believe again, as I did when I was younger. I just think that governments, for instance, have enough of their own bs to cover up before even considering 'visitors'.
Though I'd happily believe that Bush and Blair are, in fact, alien robots! I really think that any civilisation thinking of stopping by would take a few looks at our world and avoid it like you would a Croydon housing estate after sundown! 'F*ck that! I'm not going down there! They'll take us apart in minutes and not even ask how our trip was!'

I look at it like Star Trek in reverse...
The aliens have been among us for many many years, they have an understanding of technology and the way the universe works that we've yet to discover (we are at the stage now, where the earth is still flat to us in their eyes) they have a prime directive kind of thing which limits their contact to govermental levels or the occational flyby. We are not yet ready for them to openly come to us, not without setting off all the religeous nuts and scientologists, or millitary personeel.. etc.

Well, our average sized Milky Way galaxy is only roughly 100.000 light years across. No biggie. Here's justa fraction of our celestial neighbors courtsey Hubble. Do I believe? Not sure, but I won't say no. It's a mighty big universe after all. www.sentandoapua.com.br/astronomia/images/0008w.jpg

The problem is, the term "UFO" means different things to different people. The acronym stands for Unidentified Flying Object. "Flying" implies purposeful movement, but the term is applied to any *aerial* object which the viewer cannot identify. And to confuse things even more, many people say "UFO" when they mean "flying saucer".
So, if you ask "Do you believe that people have seen aerial objects they can't identify?" then my answer is "Yes, of course." If you ask "Do you believe our planet is being visited by aliens in flying saucers?" then my answer is "No." Despite 60 years of reported sightings, no evidence of extraterrestrial visitation has cropped up which is accepted by the scientific community at large.
There are many strange and unusual things seen in the sky the average person can't explain. Long ago I read about a case where many lights were seen moving around in the sky on certain nights near a certain community. The phenomenon went unexplained for quite a while. But someone finally correlated the lights with the headlights of cars driving up a nearby mountain. Under certain atmospheric conditions, the lights were being reflected down and seen by people on the ground. You've probably seen a similar effect with "heat waves" distorting or hiding the image of distant objects.
So do I believe Rusti's dad could have seen what appeared to be a very strange object rising into the air? Sure. But that doesn't mean he saw an alien spaceship, or even a secret government project.

Yup, I do believe in U.F.Os but in no more than the word. You know UFOs are often thought to be paranormal or extra-terrestrial and yet most of the time it are aircraft, birds or other strange natural or man-made objects.

i personally have seen UFO's on two different occasions. first, one hovered above my house and shone a spotlight on it. corny sounding, i know, but it happened. it made no sound at all, appeared relatively about 100 feet in the air, and was covered with randomly blinking multicolored lights. i have no explanation, it was a UFO (unitendified flying object). was it an alien craft? dunno but i definitely can't explain it.
the other occassion. there was a full moon, and an object flew in front of it directly. the moon provided a backlight so that a sillhouette was visible. it was ring shaped, with two spokes running through it perpindicular to eachother. imagine a circle with a cross in the middle. lights were placed along the rim of the circle. again no sound was made. wtf was that i ask?
so, i have seen two bona fide UFO's. were they alien craft? dunno

I saw something a long time ago, two times i should say, in the same week, one resemble more like lights, and the other one a few days later, looked more as a big big falling star. but even if I really saw that, and I was'nt alone, I am still not sure about UFO'S. Chantale.

I believe in UFOs and my theory is that they're not from other planets or galaxies - but from Earth.
When I say Earth I mean a future Earth.
In the future we have discovered how to manipulate our presence in time and that's why nearly all people who have seen so called Aliens say they look like us but with big heads, eyes and so on - a more evolved human being.
As I say it's just a theory but might make a good film.
